yeah, Ray I thought of that one too but made no sense. The answer will be obvious when we get it! We need to think in other definitions of the puzzle's words.

The Strait of Gibraltar with Atlantic-Mediterranean joined as one. The longer the tides stand/last (highest) the faster it runs thru when changing. Could also apply to the Amazon and Atlantic

That can't be right!

But this could be. How about the "high tide". Earth-Moon system affects the tides bound as one by gravity. Tide comes in faster at high tide and goes out faster the longer the period (stands)of high tide. Oh well

It also just occurred to me. Just stand the tides up and sub sand for water. But does the sand actually run faster or constant?

you stole my thunder.

How about this one.

The man who made it sold it.
The man who bought it didn't want it.
The man who used it didn't know it.
What was it?

@garmoon

The sand moves the fastest when the hourglass is completely vertical

Your is hard, I'm guessing it's some sort of idea or theory, rather than something physical

the guy who drinks/uses it didn't know it was in his drink??

Very good Ray.

Garmoon
The less sand, the quicker it runs out. Hence, the longer i stand the faster i run.

Very good indeed.

Anto
I'm on it. ;)

A man works at a place with thousands of products, some of them very expensive. people take his products without paying for them - as many as they can carry - and just walk out. All the man asks is that they keep their mouths shut. What is his job?

I got three really easy ones. The first two work when they are spoken, but I don't know if they work when they are typed.

1-A plane crashes on the border between Canada and the US, where do you bury the survivors???

2-A red house is made of red bricks, a blue house is made of blue bricks, a yellow house is made of yellow bricks, what is a green house made of???

3-What do you put in a bucket to make it lighter???

Have fun :D
