LOL i'm about to give up.
LOL dude I'm sorry man I wish I could help you more but it's hard when I can't see what you're doing exactly. I don't know why stuff just doesn't seem to be working for you here. You don't have a wii w/ an LU64 or LU65 serial code do you?
Just keep in mind when you install new cIOS, it will over-write your old one. So if you want to be sure what cIOS you are on, just install one and that's the one you will have.
And I don't know why the piracy removal message didn't work for you.
I feel your pain though, when I started doing this I got my fair share of black screens, the only one who helped me was AMatthews. He is very knowledgeable on the subject, maybe try waiting for him, he'll probably be able to help you more than me. Don't give up though, I'll still be here tryin to help you till you get this sorted out!
I was browsing through the apps on wiibrew.org. Try looking there, see if anything pops out as useful for you. So far I might recommend anytitleremover to uninstall stuff you don't want (just be careful, uninstalling some things like ios60 could result in a brick I've heard) or a boot modifier like preloader so you don't even have to go into system menu. Give it a shot and don't give up, you're not alone!
If you can upgrade and downgrade then you should already have a cIOS installed. So there is no need to run CMDVDX34.
More then likely you are experiencing a media issue.
Get different media and try again.
What backup game are you trying to load anyway?
HERE is a list of games that work and do not work. Also you may need to patch some games to boot with IOS249. Just go to the link I provided for more information.
Just did rev12 on ios249. I'm starting to agree that its a media issue. At this point I feel like I've installed everything. I will get some new media tomorrow.
This morning I was able to format a usb harddrive and backup/test one of my songs games and it worked fine :)
Thanks for all your help. I imagine this is most certainly a media issue.
One questions, one pretty damn dumb question.
I take it since I was able to backup up a game and play it then playing it out of the backup channel and not the usb channel should work also (assuming the media is good)?
As soon as I get a descent break at work I want to lookup a disc compatibility list for media. I don't feel like buying 3 spindles to find one that works.
Some users have had issues getting Punch Out! to work properly. I would suggest trying to get a diffrent game to work first then come back to Punch Out!
This might not even be a media issue. Punch Out! is a stuborn game. So use a diffrent game first to get the backup launcher working.
