Hey guys,

Like some of the others in this thread, I just can't get the tray to come out. I stick in the card, catch the white pin, push it to the side, and nothing happens. It doesn't even slightly come out like the manual says, AND, I can't get it to come out with my fingers(not even with some frigging plyers, heh)

Think anyone can give me some help?

I've got the same problem as many seem to have: I can't get the tray open after sliding the card! I feel that the card moves the "thing" in correct way but the tray opens maybe one nanometer. And when I try to pull the tray it just won't move. Once when pulling too hard it almost broke the whole darn thing! When i press reset i hear a small sound when the disc bay goes one nanometer back. So what is wrong? Has Sony made some change so that this kind of trick can't be done? I have a v9-10 PS2.

Well I think I solved my (and hopefully others) problem myself. I went as far pushing with the slide tool to the right as it goes and then put my credit card (dunno why I chose specially that one.. :) and slided it a bit more to the right and voilá: the tray opened! :D
Must say this slide tool is really crap designed. Almost got my PS2 broken.
Well, hope this helps..

is it necessary to use cd/dvd loader with swap magic 3.3 for all games or do you only need to use it with some games? if so where do I get the program from? and is there a list of games that need it?

You need to use the tape mod or straw mod. do a search on "pstwo tape mod" or something and you will find the guide.
