Anyways i think a modchip would play backups of those games flawlessly right if so could u tell me a truisted site good chipand under 30 dollars i dont care about quality i want a direct boot and if it is possible could any of u find one that doesnt have like 3 points to those small bios clips the ones that say like Sony Etertainment but if not ok.

all chips have connections to the bios chip. Don't know of sites but a good mod for under $30 for your system I'd go for a duo2se.

put that $30 aside, then go make another $30 next week, in a months time youll have enough to buy a much better chip, believe it or not, some cheap chips have the ability to ruin ps2s....LOL!, goodluck with your ps2

Oh K Zoom!go to this site dude>
http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/magicV/V7V8/pag...
It has detailed instructions showing how to solder "magic v" chip to your "v7 Ps2" motherboard.
what you need to do is match the letters/numbers on magicv to the letters/numbers shown on the ps2 motherboard,
Eg. Connect Magic-v letter Y to letter Y on ps2 MotherBoard
im not experienced in installing chips as a pro installed mine from a place in Wellington NewZealand, called.."FatCat.Co" , site> www.fatcat.co.nz/),
the chip was $80 and $60 labour/lens cleaning etc..
Good luck!

Bumber, time for a new ps2 i reacon,
slimlines suck, they ugly they over heat, and cannot be turned off via kill switch, it only goes into standby, which could be dangerous if there was some sort of power short or charge in your house, and you cannot install a big hdd into ps2 console. it has to be external
you should try and get a ps2 v9 or v10 second hand, cause the chances of you finding a brandnew v10 ps2 are very skim.
Theres nothing specail bout my ps2, you can buy ps2 skins/vinyls like this,
i would really like my own custom made ps2 case, but those are hard to come by..
have you soldered that chip yet?

hey skyda, does hd advance allow you to play these games, cause they dont work with my free hd loader. (my ps2 is a v7)
the games:
DBZ budokai tenakachi,
MADNIGHT CLUB 3
THUG 2
Ratchet and clank 3
BTW: i have the same modchip as you but my harddrive is a SP1203N from samsung, with a 2 mb cache.
BTW 2: matrix RULZ

Quote: BTW 2: matrix RULZ
well everyone has their opinion on that but if you had a DMS4 Pro SE with the Toxic OS 0.41 all the above listed games would play perfectly off the HDD. Midnight Club 3 will play with your HD Loader in mode 3 you just don't have sound, with the DMS you'd have sound :) you can patch R&C and it will work with the loader you have as well.

For hd advance press select while at the game select, and there will be a bunch of options,
if some games dont work eg. (black screen)
just press select and go to the option:"Kill HDadvance after launch"
and choose no then press select again,
all those games of yours work on mine, cept i have some probs with DBZ, after the big 3d movie intro, it goes black, but if i skip movie i can continue playing. And some game modes dont work
BTW:matrix owns
