hello there, new to this. have been burning while but am seem to be having trouble as of late. i am decrypting okay but am burning to the half way point and i get a message telling me that i need to check condition of disk. even when i retry it is of no avail. i cancel out and clean the disk, which looks just fine, to no avail. please help.
Not quite clear as to what error your getting, but if your trying to clean the disk it's probably a CRC error. A CRC error is typically caused by a dirty, smudged, or scratched disk, you may also have a bad press. The other possibility is copy protection that shrink can't handle, so since you state that you tried to clean it and don't state that it looks scratched, it's either a bad press or copy protection.
For bad press, you'll need to get another disk and try it.
If it's copy protection, DVDShrink alone wont be able to backup your movie, so this is what you do:
Rip the movie files to the HDD using the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter, once done open the files with DVDShrink (use the open files option and browse to the VIDEO_TS folder, highlight it and click ok), at this point use shrink as you normally would.
If shrink gives you a problem when trying to open the files created by DVDFab, you'll need to process the files thru VobBlanker first then open the files created by VobBlanker with shrink as described.
not always... some brands DO use multiple manufacturers. So it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell just by the brand name unless you're one of those in this forum that tells everyone that if it's not TY or Verb then it's junk, which ISN'T true.
