Im using dvd shrink, dvd fab, dvddecrypter, clone dvd all of them give me the same messages or atleast very similar: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
Heres my question obviously theres a scratch or something in dvd.
DVDdecryptor i have it set to ignore errors. It doesnt ignore them!
Is there a program that will truly ignore them?
If not is there a way to duplicate this dvd?
It has menus that need to work.
It plays perfectly with powerdvd if powerdvd can read it and let me watch it why cant i find a program to read and save it?
Obviously i could pay it to recrording dvd but how would i put the menus back in?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated as the dvd is very vauable to me.
thanks

If it's a newer movie out by Sony; then you can guarantee yourself that it's ARccOS protected. Most of the new DVDs with this protection will appear to have a CRC error in a lot of programs...........that is, unless your disc is truly a bad press or it has a big ass scratch. An example of a DVD that was an SOB to burn w/o AnyDVD was Madagascar.
Anyway, if that's the case, (if it's got that encryption) I reccomend DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD; I've even heard they updated DVD 43 to be able to decrypt ARccOS.

This dvd is one that i copied about a year ago.It is a physics dvd.I burned it to a DVD+R disc.
When it runs through dvd decryptor i see a lot of key:n/a as its running.
Is there anyway to copy it?
I have every dvd backed up on vhs tapes.
Is there a way i can copy the menu and then convert my vhs tapes to dvd and the menu work?
I have 10 of these discs and only one of them that i can copy.To replace them would be $1250.00
Please Please help.....they all do have some light surface scratches as almost every dvd i ever saw had!

When i say i have all of them backed up to vhs i mean all 10 dvd discs back when i had the originals i copies all of them to like 40 vhs tapes.I know how to play the tapes and transfer them to dvd but how would i use the menu portion from each of the 10 dvd's when i create new ones?
I know im going in two different directions here but if i cant copy the dvd's i need to make new ones.

You can try Isobuster. I managed to recover some of my scratched discs that DVD Decrypter where any other program would not read. Also, at your local DVD store you can try and see if they can resurface the discs. Here they charged me like a couple of bucks per disc.
The message that you get with Decrypter "key n/a", that means the DVD is not copy protected and Decrypter does not have to use any decrypting key.

Thanks for the help.
What would be considered a local dvd store that would resurface discs?

Are there paper label on them? If there are get rid of them @cos they are bad news.I am assuming that you are trying to copy a copy - I had this problem , tried most everything - as a last throw I took the label off , found it was so loose that it took the top coating off of of the disc too, but it worked.
