I've gotten all of mine today. A few were about 30 minutes after the update was posted here, but most were within a couple minutes.

The past reply notifications are finally coming in however it took 4 to 5 hours to receive them. But now new notifications are being sent pretty much right away now.

At times email servers (especially Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL) defer connections when they are under heavy load, or just think that we are sending too many emails their way. For example.
Quote: m9SE5Jdw026277: to=<....@hotmail.com>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=121133, relay=mx3.hotmail.com. [65.54.244.200], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection reset by mx3.hotmail.com.
For instance one notification to larrylje had to be retried 5 times before it went through.
I've adjusted the queue run times a bit on our servers, so delivery is tried more often. That might speed up delivery in some cases.

Thanks for looking into it. So far everything seems to be working fine now. I will keep the above information in mind next time notifications seem to stop sending.

Quick question. For a few hours tonight, I was unable to post in the forums anywhere. I tried to post from my mobile and my desktop, and up till about 20 minutes ago, nothing posted.
I tried to reply to 2 postings, the screen came up that it was processing the post, and nothing else for about 10 minutes. I closed the windows, left aD, and came back about 30 minutes later, and noticed both my messages were posted.
Was this a problem with the servers, here in the us, or something else.
Oh, when I was on my mobile, I used the regular browser (ip thru t-mobile usa) and opera mini (ip thru finland) and I couldnt post at all.

Probably just a server hiccup...I had the same timeout problems earlier tonight myself, but it seems to have straightened itself out.

I had the similar problems for well over an hour, and noticed no new posts at all in that time, last night UK time. In fact according to my inbox, no new emails since around 8:30pm thru 5:36am this morning

Servers have been taking some beating, as always when the holiday season is approaching. We've tweaked couple of things here and there and hope that they'll make the difference, but we'll know that in couple of hours time, when the peak comes.

Thanks for the quick reply boss. So far, I haven't seen anymore hiccups at all. I will admit it felt strange not to get any e-mails for new postings in several hours. Glad to see y'all are staying on top of it.

Getting the aD "twitch" are we rtm? lol. I guess that's why they call some 'addicts' I suppose? *grins*
Now if only I could get the links to work in the search pages, this author would be happy! Darn things rarely work at all these days.
Copy and pasting can get a little tedious at times.
But it's all good fun they tells me. :)
Cheers all.

Just had a few 'Whoops' timeout pages, maybe it's just a server blip.

Am guessing the servers are being hammered as connectivity has been a tad spotty for a little while..
Merry Christmas All btw!!

It all seems fine from here (apart from trippys shoutbox which has waaaaaaayyyy too many pictures in it and takes about 20 minutes to load)..
but I never set anything to send me emails so I can't comment on those.

Awfully sorry about that. One misbehaving query managed to bog down the whole site every hour after cache expired. Got rid of it for now (after I managed to find a working laptop - I wonder why Santa didn't bring me one with decent connectivity...) and things seem to have been running much smoothly since.
Happy Yule everyone! And thanks for bearing with me.. =)
