The issues spoken about in the above are still occuring
I changed dvd shrink to shrink to 4300
after doing so i still have problems with the end of the dvds....im watching my latest burned copy (*backup of my own) the movie is "one night at McCools" not that that matters
anyways the choppyness which is really small pauses....starts occuring with about 25 minutes left in the movie
and a little background info...if i were to take this bad dvd and go into nero and copy it and reburn it...it fixes the problem....but i want to backup dvds correctly the first time....as im sure all of us do!
any other suggestions....because it seems the 4300 option wasnt the correct fix.....
should i stop using shrink?
if so what should i use?
thanks for your help in advance

Changing you target size to 4300 was correct advice, however, it increases the amount of compression used to transcode the movie. Try using the Deep Analysis and AEC Controls in DVD Shrink, keep burn speed low (4X) to start out and work you way up to a tolerable level.

if you use Nero 6, let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.
You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"
if you have Nero 7, let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '5C80' or similar.

That's an incomplete log, you're missing the top. You are burning way too fast, try 4x.
