I recently installed a Plextor 740A dual layer DVD burner and I am now having problems using DVD Shrink. I am having sporadic problems burning newer DVDs. Below is a log file from a recent failure. Can someone please look at this log files and explain what the issue might be. I was previously using a NEC 2500A with no problems.

Thanks in advance.

I agree with creaky on the media, I had that 740a and those TDK disks that came with the drive were terrible, the burner sounded as if were going to die. Try some Verbatim or Sony.

Thanks for all the suggestions and for removing the serial number in the log. I agree regarding the media, but they came free with the DVD Burner, so I had to at least try them. I was using Verbatim previous to this and did not seem to have this problem.

Regarding the memory...the computer is an older Dell using RDRAM...upgrading the memory would cost me more than buying a new computer. However, a new computer with 4G memory is already on its way to me. :)

I will try the other suggestions and post the results.

Thanks again for the help.
