Where do I find the old "analyze" files that Shrink creates when importing a movie? I have heard that they are not automatically deleted and need to be removed manually. Is this also true for Recode? Thanks in advance.

i have tried using the method above to clean out my analysis files, and there was nothing there for DVD Shrink. do you have any other suggestions for what i can do to get rid of these files. i am sure that by now as many movies as i have backed up that the file is getting pretty big. thanks in advance.

@chayne04
Welcome to aD!
By default (unless you created a folder & choose it when clicking back up) shrink will create a folder on the root of your hard drive with the name of the movie. For example my hard drive is on c - so when I click back up my movie is stored at c:four brothers. That's where I go to delete the file - my c drive (hard drive).

The files may be "hidden". Make sure you have your computer set to show hidden files. The files on my machine are hidden. Once unhid, they are there and can be removed.

As jwilkers said your files are hidden. I clean my Shrink files about every 2 or 3 weeks, or depending on how many movies I have done. Go to windows Explorer and click on tools/folder options/view &
(look for hidden files & folders) Check show hidden files & folders and look for shrink files. They are there and good luck.

Did you check the search hidden files for the search on the More Advanced Options tab.
Sorry I forgot to mention it.
