Does anyone know when the next update is going to come out for DVD shrink. Also, is DVDFab better than DVD shrink, or are there some things that DVD Shrink Does better, or more features on one vs. the other?

DVDShrink is no longer being updated. The author went to work for Nero, hence the similarity with Nero Recode 2.

DVDFab is a ripper, and unless you purchase the full version does not have an encoder or burner built in.

Both, however are excellent programs and when used appropriately will serve you very well.

I use the both with great results.

Why is the DVDShrink upgrade question always posed? lol

Anyway, if you still use it religiously (like I do), AnyDVD teamed up with it will still work flawlessly. And in the rare event when Shrink and AnyDVD can't get the job done, try the free DVDFab.
