Hi Gang: I was encoding a movie " The Silver Streak" and about 15% into the encoding, DYD Shrink disappeared? I ran this movie thru DVD Decrypter and DVDFab and on one occasion the computer simply rebooted? After doing some searching I did find "Vcodec" listed under "Spybot" but not sure if that is the answer?? Any suggestions?

sounds like a heat issue, shrink can be tough on a cpu improve your airflow inside your case

just started my venture with shrink and decrypter rather recently but found when running shrink on my PC with some movies would as you said disappear and would also restart about 75% of the time but would run fine with same movie on my laptop..and it was exactly as FatBoy had mentioned my PC cooling system was malfunctioning fixed the fan and all was well hope this helps some. Good Luck

stumbled on this one to see what we can do to get ronnies up and running with his movies :)

i'm not familiar with the Silver Streak (i don't think so anyway) however you're going thru the mill with your movies, and certainly from this thread it could be heat-related, and when Shrink disappears like that it can also be that Shrink can't cope with the movie on it's lonesome, hence the need for stuff like DVDFab Decrypter et al as i've mentioned in some of your other threads..
