DVD Shrink taking 1050 hours?

Has any one had this problem? Shrink starts out ok then goes to 1000+ hrs on the second phase. I Completely uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but same trouble. I read some of the other threads about Nero 7, could that be it? Need Help! Thank You Everyone.

when you say second phase do you mean 'encoding' (where the initial 'analysing' is the first phase in that case) or do you mean burning phase ?.

what are your computer specs ?
and as you use Nero we can attack the latest entry from your Nero log as it's a good indicator of a few system aspects ie the log will show if DMA is ON for hard drives/optical drives, whether you have enough free memory etc etc.

let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '5C' or similar.

You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

Sorry, yes I did mean encoding. Still new at backing up my DVD's and my daughter and her husband and our 3 grandkids will be moving in with us this Sunday so I'm trying to back the most important ones as fast as possible so I loose it once in a while. I still have close to 40GB free space on my hard drive.

ok, i see. it could be one or more things then. can you run Nero's infotool and paste the output here. from there we can check a multitude of things, certainly enough to hopefully get you moving again; provided your PC is sufficiently powerful for ripping dvds that is :)
