DVD Shrink error-ERRORS!!

Movie Sense and Sensibilities has a tiny crack starting from the center... Still I will try to back it up. Steps I took in order:
1 Download DVD Decrypt
2 Download DVD Shrink
3 Decrpyted movie-and error came up as check condition. I did ignore and it finished.
4 Tried Shrink and it came up as
failed to read E:/ because the sector is encrypted.

First time using ANY OF THIS..but did set preferences in shrink beforehand.
Attempted again, shrink came up with cannot read E, cyclic redundacy check.

Is it just me or did any of you spent hours researching just to get this far???Will it get better?
I am just thinking long term it will be worth the investement of my time as I want to back up and extensive movie collection.

Dont know about the protection on that movie, but i would get DVDFabDecrypter and see if that can decrypt it to the HDD. If not, try just running it through Shrink...if its an old dvd than you shouldnt have a problem ;)
