I have been using DVD shrink for a little while without any issues. Last week I began receiving the following error message:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Invalid data in file "C:\XXXX\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.VOB"
Overlapped I/O operation in progress.

I am running DVD Shrink v 3.2.0.15 and begin the process with DVD Decrypter. I have not made any changes to the application settings that I am aware of that might result in this type of error.

I have been able to use DVDFab to decrypt then successfully use DVD Shrink. Not sure if the issue is with Decrypter or Shrink.

Any advice available on this would be helpful.

Thanks -

If shrink won't open the files created by DVDFab, then they'll need to be processed thru vobblanker first, then open the newly created files by vobblanker with DVD shrink and proceed as you normally would.

get vobblanker here;
http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2100_exe.zip

What to do:
-Rip your movie with the latest version of DVDFAB Decrypter to your hard drive, wait until it's successfully completed.

-Run Vobblanker and follow the below steps:

-For INPUT File-->load your already ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO file created by DVDFab.

-For OUTPUT Location-->create a new folder and give it the name of the movie, create another folder within that one and name it VIDEO_TS, in the VIDEO_TS folder you will direct vobblanker to put the files it will create.

ie. c:\Documents and Settings\your xp account name\desktop\your movie's name\VIDEO_TS\

-Click the "PROC.ALL" button at the RIGHT of the window.

-Click the "PROCESS" button at the bottom of the window.

Wait until done, then open those files with shrink.
