My computer went down and I had to reinstall my softwares. after this happen I notice that it would take me 1-4 hours to encode. I change the setting and even took off everything that is not english and still it takes to long. I even deleted and reinstall the ide/atap/controler(primary and secondary). And still same problems. What else can I do?

Did you have to install everything like a total format ? Or just some of your software. If it's possible, use WindowXP 'System Restore' option to restore your computer setting back to before your burner was really slow. This one time I all of a sudden ended up burning DVD one hour at a time as if the data was going through a USB1 cord. I immediately used System Restore to take my computer back a few days and after that it burned normally at 10 minutes. It never happened again after that. Not sure what it was. All I know is 'System Restore' has saved me quite a few times in general among other problems. Also when everything is working great on your computer, I'd recommend just taking 20 seconds and creating a restore point from time to time.
