I can import the video ts hard disk folder of the individual chapters of the concert dvds edited from the complete disk HD folder by dvd shrink back to shrink, and edit out the junk with "re-arthor" then select "main movie" then "title 1" then the "set/start" end frame left right combo arrows. then import another chapter from another disk and do the same thing with shrink to complete a compilation and then BU and burn the complete compilation of chapters. however I'm left with all "titles" and no chapters. just wondered if there was an easier way to edit out my favorite chapters from these music dvds, maintain "chapters under one title" and burn the compilation over to one dvd? or convert all the "titles" back to chapters under 1 title with dvd shrink? is this possible to do with dvd-shrink? if not, is there any freeware or trial-ware that would convert all titles back to one tile with a a chapter list? thx.

Yep that's a problem that you are going to have when using Shrink only. You need a program that will allow you to add chapters.

You may want to give ConvertXtoDVD a tryout. I think though that all you can do with that is insert a chapter after a set number of minutes. It may do more than that though so it's worth trying. It has a "watermark" free trial.

I use Nero Vision for this sort of thing, generally each vob will become a chapter.

A trial is available for Nero 7:

You are limited with what you can do with freeware.

IFOedit will do this easily. I am assuming that done this way every song or clip or whatever is a seperate VOB. Put them alone in a folder and rename them VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB etc until all are renamed in order. Open IFOEdit and select "create IFOs" and browse your HD for the files you just named. Now IFOEdit will create IFOs for these clips and all of them will become one title, and chapters should appear where you want them to.
Once done you can burn this folder to a disc and everything will play. Add some menus if you want to spice it up and bit, and you're done.

Crap, I forgot to add one important step. After creating the IFOs you need to open the new IFO in IFOEdit and hit the "get VTS sectors" button. Need to do this to get it to play properly.

IFOedit is a pretty powerful program that does many many useful things for you, but won't burn though. It will however create an IMG file that you can burn with imgburn which is also free.
