everyone is saying im waiting for a ps3 but here is waht you have to consider
1.you will have to have a hdtv in order to use the ps3 thanks to the blu ray drive in the ps3
2.the cost isn't worth 500.00 and yes 500.00 is what sony is still thinking about selling the console for and are also considering selling the console for 700.00 u.s as well due to the hddvd drive
3.think about temp inside the ps3 because you no don't just have heat coming from a processor and a graphics processor you have heat coming from a cd drive a hard drive and the memory controller inside the system will also get hot can anyone say instant death
4.g4 tech tv has just quoted that the ps3 may be just another dreamcast and we all know what happend to dreamcast
so in the long run of things i think sony is full of
actaully the price for sony was initally said by one of their own reps to be between 600 and 750 bucks fellas. Then they try to play damage control and say that their rep was only speaking his opinion and then went on to not state the price. First guy is right, all sony's people are saying it will be really expensive, "that it is not for everyone".Sony is forgetting the small people, kids who dont have money to blow and parents who just cant afford the extra money on a high def dvd player disguised as a gaming console. Sony's little Blu-ray idea will dirve up price for games, controllers will cost more than 360's. Sony went with the tech edge over teh 360 and its going to cost people. In the end sonys product wont be any better than MS, well not enough to spend the money on atleast. Everyone keeps speaking of sony's killer titles that MS doesnt have... i just dont c it. I c 3 games that MS fans miss and thats it. God of war,devil may cry, metal gear solid. MS has Halo which combats on if not two of those titles, and i didnt own the first xbox unfortunatly so i couldnt name so many other of their quality titles. Previous xbox owner want to help me out on this one. I was a former ps2 owner til i realized they have the biggest bunch of cultlike fanboys, ps2 was a piece of trash that broke with regularity for everyone i knew that owned it. They have terrible customer service. Xbox was better in EVERYWAY... features,graphcis,speed and all that it was just new so it didnt have a fanbase.
Next time you feel the urge to start an asinine thread like this I suggest you go talk to your shadow because noone in the PS3 forum is interested in your far from factual observations.
