Ok I have a PsP and I have the 2.60 version update, and for my internet I have a wireless-G broadband router (linksys) Model-WRT54G
on the roughter there is this orange/red light button and then I push it, It goes off for 2 seconds and then it starts blinking white and I hurry up and try to connect to the internet and it almost works but it keeps "connecting..." then after awhile It says "A connection error has occurred. The connection to the access point timed out."
I have been try for literally a YEAR to fix it but I cant think of any thing else to try or do? can some one help me?
(The internet works at my friends houses but I think it might be my roughter but how do I fix the secrety settings when I scan and what not?)

do you enter your ip and dns information manually? if not try that
Also your wireless security should be automatically picked up when you scanned for the network it will tell you what security you have all you gotta do is find the password from the router.
Then during the network setup you can put the wireless security type and password in.

Your router should be accessible from your web browser (by typing in the IP adress of the gateway, for most Linksys routers it is 192.168.1.10). After you type that in the address bar of your browser and press enter, a prompt should appear asking for your username and password (both the username and password are set to admin by default). From there you can find your wireless pass.

Go to MSDOS prompt and type ipconfig /all
Then it will show some information, look for "Default Gateway" and the address next to it. This is the address which you have to type into your browser.

You have windows right?
If you do go to Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Command Prompt, a new windows should appear with a black background and white text, this is an MSDOS prompt.

Which numbers do you mean?
If its the numbers next to "Default Gateway", then just type it in to your browser and hit enter.

Did a manual come with your router?
If so, check the manual to see what the default username and password is. Also check to see how you configure the router.

No, if the password/username is wrong it will display an "Access Forbidden" page. What browser are you using? It might be a problem with your browser.
