I just bought a new burner BenQ DW 1650. When I try to burn now the process fails towards the end. As well if I try to burn something with roxio or another prog it takes like 6x longer than it should for a data dvd, interestingly a CD burns just fine. I switched things on the ide and tried a new ide cable still no help. This is the log from shrink:

Thanks, I didnt even realize that DMA was off. I checked those settings earlier and it was set to let bios choose and it appeared it was selecting "multi word DMA 2" so I thought it was ok. I unselected that option and set it manually. I was able to burn a dvd now, but it took 23min to burn a full one, which is crap IMO. I dunno if DMA is still getting turned off or theres some other issue.
