PS3 Games will Cost.... 50 GBP So will the Games for the Nintendo Wii

They are priced at 50 GB Pounds on play.com so that means them will be more in the shops like Game and GameStation. Xbox 360 Games are 40 pound from play and up to 50 in some shops and just so you know the Nintendo Wii games are going to cost 50 pounds too. Play.com is the cheapest place on the net for people in the UK to buy them from, take a look.... www.play.com

dont 4get those prices could change as it gets closer to release date, they could go up or down, altho thats a reasonable price, shame how much the console itself is

Until sony says it its just "basically".I wouldnt take stores preorder prices as the gospel thats just too risky and you could get your hopes up. If it turns out that they are the same then great but lets wait and see.

yeah dont 4get sony are usin bluray were as current 360 games are just dvd(i think) so they cud still raise the price just a thought

I have a feeling that ps3 games will be priced similar to xbox360 to because they don't want to abandon the user with insane prices.It's not sony's choice really I suppose it's the publisher's choice at what to price their games at right?
I could be wrong, who knows right, but if best buy is taking pre orders it's hard to argue that.

The 360 games are 40 pound on play and the ps3 are down for 50, the price for 360 wont change. The reason for this could be coz the ps3 disc's are Blu-ray and the disc's cost much more than dvd disc's. Play have always been good with preorders, if the price drops thats what you will get it for but if it goes up you still get it for what you preordered it for.

I really dont think PS3 games will cost more than 360.If for some crazy reason they do i will be mad as hell because Sony will have stuck there foot in there mouth for real.But with Microsoft breathing down Sony neck i dont think they will be that foolish if they do you can say R.I.P. PS3.

Yeah i know what you mean, the PS3 has too much hype to put most people off of buyin one. I hope the prices do drop but cant see it happening. The 360 console will drop i think just as the PS3 comes out but the games always keep their price. Only if the game sales are low will the prices drop.

It has come to my attention that uk ps3 pre-order games are more than in the u.s.a.Here in the states both xbox360 and ps3 pre-order games are priced the same.Period.

i hear things in the uk are MUCH more xpensive if this is true and games are outrageosly xpensive i would not buy a ps3 if i lived in england. no matter how much i love sony.

I belive that the ps3 games should be a little cheaper than 360, at the start because of the cost you must pay upfront for the system.

The world dont work like that though, anything new that comes out is alway very expensive and always cost more in england. That why i get all my clothe's and DVD'd from the USA. Best place to get things is the internet, you just get over charged in the shops here.

I dont think the price should really be of big concern becuase when you see the graphical level and immersion that is available in these games, and thinking about the developmental time it takes to make the graphics as they are a lot more complex, a lot more pixels being pushed onto a screen.
If people could pay say 30pounds for DOOM 1 or so back in the days... i dont see how what is here now would be that much of an impact, the only thing is, it means you will be wiser when buying games, as they will mean more to you since they costed more out of your own pocket.
I'm getting a ps3 just for GT5, so whenever GT5 comes out thats when i'll get a PS3, and even if the game was 60pounds, 130AUdollars, id still gracefully pay for it and get it, knowing that it will be what it will be.

Yeah, i can totally say the same for the Final Fantasy games and Resident evil games, i wont stop at nothing to get them when they come out. The thing is though all games are different to make, it just depends on what game engine they have for it and and how easy they make it foe their selves. A true gamer will pay anything as long as you get the enjoyment out of the game you want. Its like the Tomb Raider on the 360, i felt totally ripped off coz the game was so short, it took me 8 hours to complete when the old ones took 2 times as long or 3 times sometimes.

but xbox 360 is not the only company who makes short games...it was as equally short for the PC as well. gta5 is also coming out for the 360 with the same release date so thats not too good of a reason to get the ps3 over teh 360 if fact R* is guarenteeing exclusive content for the 360 and not for the ps3.Sony is loosing exclsuive all the time. They've already lost resident evil,raw vs smackdown, gta(ouch) and there a few more i cant think of off hand and with the recent poll where japanese developers with a 90% vote said the ps3 is too costly to develop games for.

theyre puttin them on those blu ray disks aswell so i wouldnt be surprised is they were quite expensive but i couldnt see them being much more expensive than xbox 360 games (if more expensive at all) because they will obviously be the main competitors along with nintendos new creation

well, with sonys top guys all but saying the games will be priced over 59.99 then thats what we should expect they said the console would be expensive and it is so i dont doubt them when they speak of high prices its just everything else i doubt that come sout of their mouths.when a guy leaves a window of $60.00-99.99 and says the $60.00 and $99.99 are unlikely but somewhere in the middle is likely be in for a suprise...

I suspect it will likely be 60-70 as the most common prices. The devlopement costs are astonomical compared to what the gaming industry views as normal. Besides they're are expernal factors as well such as:
Worldwide economic decline resulting in the prices of everything going up.
In some contries exchange rates. For example here in jamaica the JMD is 66 to 1 USD and that changes everyday.
Import tariffs and increasing shipping costs.
There are a whole lot more things too so it not just the fault of this industry.
