Hi,

Ok, i'm try to put x-files season 1 onto DVD-R5's but i want to split the eps as 3 on one DVD-R instead of the original 4 eps

obviously i'll need to split them over a larger number of discs.

For example disc one - ep 4 & disc two eps 5 & 6 onto one disc...

When i go to burn with Nero, i assume i have to rename the eps as VTS_01_1 - VTS_02_1 - VTS_03_1 but when i do Nero doesn't like it - it says the structure of the disc may not be valid and will not burn

What am i doing wrong?

You need to rip each separately and then join these files together in Shrink, encode and the burn with Nero. Here is a guide

hmm, I've tried it but when tries to burn it it says its missing a file VTS02 (thats all I could read at the time) what am I doing wrong?)

You can just split them down the middle, which is two episodes on each disk, this is how I have done them. I use CloneDVD for this though because you can retain a functional menu on both disks. Are you ripping each one separately with Shrink, to your HDD and then joining the titles after? Or rip the whole disk to your HDD and run this file through VobBlanker and let it fix any blank/unreferenced or bogus cells. Then edit after that and see if it will work.

If they are not working by ripping each separately the do them as clips, by using start and end frames. Do each on this way and then join them. Hopefully, this will solve the problems.
