I have no problem burning dvds on my pc with my internal dvd burner, but I am getting an error message on my external dvd burner with my laptop. Below is the error message I receive. Thanks for any help.

Hello bowler493.

Several things are evident.

Uninstall the Roxio software and run the Roxizapper. Roxio and Nero don't mingle well because both have low level processes that can conflict.

Update Nero 6 to 6.6.0.18 from the site below:

Update the BenQ 1620 firmware from the following site:

The burner isn't recognizing the media either because the firmware needs updating or the media is of poor quality. Do you know the brand? Download DVD Identifier and ID the media code of your blank media.
