nothings been truly confirmed, either assumed from ken's staements or "moles" came out to say. its to save in areas unnoticable. as far as i know wifi is still built in.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

MOst of the past topics prolly shoulda gone under the halo2 thread but w/e.
1st:u can turn of auto-aim
2nd:halo 2 would have sucked w/o xbl. the campaign was not great and the only reason ne1 is still playin halo2 is bc of xbl.
3rd:im not a fan of the arbitor bc i wouldve prefered him not being in halo2 but addin a brute or nething else in halo3 would be stupid bc they arent even on the same playin level as MC and the arbitor
finally:i dont care wat u try and say cod2 will always have better graphics than halo2.

To Jr24:
1: That's fine; Halo will be good with or without auto aim
2: Disagreed. Halo 2's campaign is excellent, and I still play it frequently. The story is deeper, the gameplay is slightly better than H:CE's, the environments are more epic in scale; it is still a very fun single player game.
3: Again, I disagree. The Arbiter is an excellent addition to H2, and anyway, he's too deeply involved in the storyline to be removed. As for Brutes and other characters, no they wouldn't work in single player, but if Bungie made a class-based MP game, in addition to the standard H2-style MP, more races could be put in.
Finally: Nobody's disputing that. The fact that it's close enough to be discussed is amazing since COD2 is a 360 game. Halo 3 will obviously look much better than COD2.

Modding is unfair to those who just want to play a good, even game that is determined by skill in gameplay as opposed to skill in modding. Perhaps Bungie could make a playlist for modders, though, like you suggested. Sorta like how there's the Underground Gamer Zone on XBL. Or they can just leave those who want to cheat to XBC.

How could Bungie make a playlist for modders. That is rediculous. That would violate the Xbox AUP and TOU. Not to mention XBL's TOS. I think modding is fine if it is at home etc, but as soon as people start saying they want it on XBL I think that is just unacceptable.

ahhh...the powers that modders contain. I think I once fought with a modder...nearly impossible to beat.
What I think should be added to Halo 3 is the hydro fluid and "spartan time" from the books. The books describe that in times of adrenaline a spartan will be reacting so quick it seems as everything slows down(like Max Paynes "bullet time"). The hydro fluid is the fluid inside a spartans armor that allows spartans to increse their shields endurance. The other spartans like Fred, Will, Linda and kelly should also be introduced in the game.
I also hope that a preview trailer for the game comes out soon, the suspence is killing me.
Peace out!

this is only geared toward anubis and im only saying that even though cod2 is newer this game Black is or just came out and its graphics arent better then cod2s plain and simple there is a fominal difference. Ok back to halo3. I read in the other thread Halo2/3 about how in mult. you will be able to be lik a grunt or drone or anthing and drones would be able to fly a distance and eveyone would have their abilties it seemed cool. and ovcoarse it would be a game varient people not like in evey match you could be w/e you want

u relize if they did make a matchmade modder section for modders in halo2 their woulndt be a single match bc every1 will bridge for host and no1 will get matched, unless ur a stupid cheater. alright idea but it is a host game when it comes to mods, for the most part.
the reason i dont like the arbitor is bc it gives us the side of the enemy. i dont care wat the things im killin care or think about. they could have found a way to make the same story line w/o the arbitor. couldve gottin the same view or backround thru a dif way.
and about the campaign, i like halo:CE campaign a lot better bc i could go thru the whole game and enjoy all but two levels. in halo 2 ive played the arbitor levels no more than once and some of the MC levels ive played a few times. prolly round nov 30 i got tired of the game and set it down till march when i got xbl.
just me and a couple of my buddies OPINIONS so dont freak out on me.

i think the halo ce campaign blows a$$. its too repetative and slow. like when you have to cross like 10 identicle grey bridges with covenant on them. can you say borrrrring??

my saves keep getting erased or id delete the game due to boredom. maybe ill play it again since i have it on my mac. did u know halo ce for mac is the most pirated game of all time? a 5:1 ration of bootlegging over buying. did i buy it? thats for you to decide ;). either way i got about 30 mins past that one awesome building thats like space but indoors and it got too repetative and boring. the bridges kill the game for me. ive never accually played it al the way thru, but ive play the first few levels like 3249567 times...well like 5.

Both games' campaigns are excellent. Both offer enough choices so that you can play through each area in many different ways. Halo 2's has a slight edge, though, for being more expansive and detailed. I think the reason a lot of people don't like the Arbiter is because they don't like the Flood. These are the same people who generally hated the Flood levels in Halo 1. If you didn't like them in H1, you're probably didn't gonna like them in H2 (or even H3), no matter what character you play as. Some people may genuinely not like playing as the other side, but I don't see why not, especially when you find out that they aren't really the other side anymore

Anybody remember that rumor that said you'd be able to play as Cortana, RTS-style? Well, that'd be awesome. My ultimate hope for Halo 3 would be an excellent single player game, with a story better than both H:CE and H2, some form of campaign editor, and three types of MP: regular H2-style MP, class based MP with most of the races available, and a co-op/counter-op mode that works for the SP game.

why do you want a campaign editor, it would throw off the storyline. how lame is that.

Not to change the story or anything like that. Imagine being able to alter the number and variety of enemies, weapons, vehicles, allies, etc. in the locaations. You could set up huge battles on wide open terrain. Remember Assault on the Control Room in H:CE? Well, imagine putting say 150 grunts, 100 jackals, 50 elites, 10 hunters, giving yourself 20 marines and every weapon and vehicle in the game on one wide open battlefield. Sounds pretty awesome doesn't it?
