I have been using DVD Shrink along with Nero Burning. I have found that movies made by SONY, DISNEY, and DREAMWORKS won't download to the hard drive. A statement comes up stating something about the path being incorrect. I had a friend tell me to use DVD Decrypter to download it to my hard drive, then use Shrink to compress it so that I could burn it with Nero. I cannot figure out how to get the movie into Shrink once downloaded by DeCrypter. If I download it to the hard drive through the DeCrypter then try to burn with Nero, Nero says that there is too much to put on the disc and therefore will not burn it. Any suggestions.

Thanks for any help.

Hello.

DVD Decrypter without some fancy footwork cannot overcome strong structural copy protection. One approach is to use the commercial program AnyDVD working in the background to overcome protection problems.

http://slysoft.com (free 21-day trial)

DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink will work as usual after the addition of AnyDVD.

You can also use DVDFab Decrypter, a free program, for ripping and then run the ripped file or file through FixVTS or Vobblanker to clean them up. DVD Shrink will then accept and process the files normally.

Guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154

ripit4me, as dialysis1 suggested, is a new program that automates the process and uses free software.

Download and install DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink. There are software links in my signature below. Then download and use ripit4me from the site linked by dialysis above.

There a guide at that link and another here by arniebear:

The program I suggested will handle anything out there today. You can do a search and see for yourself. No need for anything else.
