Why i'm getting the PS3... how about you?

Why am i getting a PS3? Regardless of the $100+ cost? A couple reasons:
The gaming exclusives: They're quality. Tekken, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance, Warhawk, F1, Heavenly sword, Assassin's creed, Virtua Fighter 5, UT 2007, Eight Days, Motorstorm, Gran Turismo, Killzone 2, Devil May Cry 4, Tekken, and Coded Arms: Assault. Not some random game like kameo, or an over-rated unrealistic game like perfect dark zero. Not a load of PC ports... actual games that make me say 'i'm glad i got the console'.
the allmighty mudearies...
79% Sony Fanboy , 10% xbox fanboy , 11% Kidtendo fanboy. |

Agreed they have some great exclusives and in my opinion the best exclusives.(you forgot ratchet,jak,sly cooper,kindom hearts,...etc)Lol

yeah the ps3 will be alot more than $100, but because of that it will be a quality machine and i think will beat the xbox and im sure it will beat nintendo, as nintendo always fail to produce a machine which is as good as its competitors

ive said it once and will say it again sony will win this war because of its name and rep from the past theres not much else to it. game developers arent happy with the ps3,most people arent happy with its high price and wil be even more pissed with the game prices if they are high.its been said time and again the difference in visauls wont be noticeable to any noteworthy level.yet people still deem it necessary to get it over the xbox 360 and the nintendo wii and claim its because of exclusives...well,they are in the process of losing one of its first big exclusives for the ps3(assasins creed) and they've recenlty lost smackdown vs raw. in the past they lost gta which was their biggest title,also they've gave up resident evil which both MS and nintendo now have rights to as well.all that said i dont see to much of a positve outside of the new web browser and the overhyped Blu-ray format but as i said sony will still win with all that going on because its SONY and has the most loyal fans known to man...like trekkies.I mean when you sit down and look at it compared to the 360 heres what you got.
graphics=same
speed=said to be no difference between the two consoles
exclusives=sonys losing them MS is getting some but i cant deny has some killer exclusives but so does MS and nintendo its not the big gap as it was in the past.
online=MS wins hands down until sony proves itself which i think people are naive to think sony can dominate the veteran MS on its first real go round.
controllers=wii has the most innovative,sony has a mild dumbed down version of the wii but better controller design in my opinion,ms to me has the best controller design and functionallity but lacks the new motion sensing.
everything else= all else is too close to justify paying the extra money for games,accesories,system and all else that follows because the gaming community spoke at E3 and ps3 wasnt a winner...too close and no WOW factor like the lesp from ps2,xbox,gamecube to the xbox 360. the 360 was like regualr tv to HDTV and ps3 will be like component to dvi which isnt that noticeable.(if you think it is then get ready to scrap the shatty 499.99 model of the ps3)
mostly my opinons but they are facts ^^^^

no cd tray...car deck style
hella media possibilities
fully backwards compat
graphics...1080p
free online
bluetoof
usb 2.0
if tired of games..theres always other crap to do(like psp)
hdd+psp = homebrews galore
Them are reasons im getting one. Not in order of importance.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

Im getting a ps3 mainly of all the stuff CrisKahn2 said. But my main reason is becasue i always get the new systems (playstation) and there are so many of the games that convince me more and more to buy one even if the price is a bit rediculous.

these are my reasons i am going to get one. some other people listed, and some maybe not. let me know how you feel.
bluetooth compatability with naything bluetooth
bluray
complete 3d spectum motion sensing
a wonderful launch lineup, one of the best ever.
awesome and intuitive xbm:os (cross medial bar operation system)
a pretty sweet webroswer
hdmi 1.3
the better graphics so far
1080p
no breakable cd tray
back compat for any game.
downloadable previous system game releases (for ps1 an maybe ps2)
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

i think there isnt a tray that slides out to put the game in i think you just slide it in like a car cd player but im not sure.I hate sony this is evident but people are gettign at sonys throat for some cheesy things...racism???

lol thats pretty funny. Anyways thats pretty cool that theres no brackable tray. Exept i liked the tray cause i was careful with my ps2. Anywasy have to see how it turns out in the end.

Yea no tray means swap magic is impossible...You cant really trick the console to think it was never open cuz you cant really open it anymore lol.

2 hack it
i currently develop for the psp and ps2 at ps2 at ps2dev
and ffor the xbox and the xbox 360 at xbox scene
but right now we are trying to hack the psp's omf coding
we WILL HACK THE PS3 WHEN IT COMES OUT TOO
...........................................look at the unhackable 360

i think it would be way to expensive for 500 or even 600 dollars but since a stand alone blu ray player is going to be about the same price at the time, it is a great idea to get the PS3. Plus it has soo many little useful feaures such as the bluetooth and up to 7 controllers!
Also, a proposed idea by sony was to have Playstation online absolutely free! I hope so!!
