Umm yeah they're a few that hang around here and trust me be care what you say and how cause u might just make the wrong post at the wong time.
from those i've spoken to in the ps3 section (about 3-4) only one has really openly expressed thoughts (those thoughts were positive) on ps3

while I don't presume to speak for the mods, I am fairly sure that some of them prefer PC gaming entirely, and more or less stay out of the console world.

I don't own consoles but I do have some general opinions.
I find it quite amusing that so many people get in fights about these consoles especially when two of them aren't even on the shelves yet. Fighting over spec sheets and demos is incredibly silly.
I also find it completely stupid when people bash one system over another, especially the geniuses that bash the Wii in comparison to the PS3. Anyone that seriously tries to fault a $200 system when comparing it to a $600 system needs to take a marker and write "dumbass" on their forhead. When I read Maximum PC I don't see them comparing $500 Dell to a $1500 box from Voodoo PC because they know it's apples to oranges and anyone with half a brain wouldn't take the article seriously.
I can't give an opinion on the PS3 because I haven't seen one in action and the same goes for the Wii. On the other hand I've seen the XBox 360 in action and must say it's very impressive.

just responding to the fact that you felt kainx spoke of the mods as high and mighty and you got all pissed and asked him why he was refferring to you in a deragotry manner. Then you go on to indirectly insult anyone who argues over consoles kinda hypocrytical coming from a moderator.This forum is meant for peoples opinions and as long as it isnt affecting anyone they shouldnt be slandered for the way the conduct themselves but you catergorize them as stupid and tell them they should write dumbass on their forehead. Hence my statement above and for me saying this to you i will likely be banned thus confirming Kainx's statement referring to you guys as high and mighty!
let me expand on your question, if i was to catergorize ANY group of people in this forum i would likely be banned or suspended but you as a moderator can say or pretty much do as you wish without being completely insane.For example if i said "all sony fans who camp out need to get lives" you would come in and say some cool punch line then ban me, now you on the other hand can edit peoples posts and mock them while doing so or you can do as you said above and state that people who are arguing over consoles with one of them not being out are stupid. hypothetically its like me responding to your post by saying any moderator who would call otehrs stupid is an a$$hole! Now thats not going to fly even though i didnt directly single out anyone.See what im saying and how it relates?
Now i will likely be banned or something but still have my pride in tact knowing that i stated the truth and in doing so never once insulted you (hypothetical situation wasnt insulting you) or did anything obnoxious so im cool with whatever happens.

First off I'd like you to show me where in the forum rules you're guaranteed the freedom of speech, go ahead show me. This is a private website where the staff and moderators can run things exactly as they see fit. If you don't like it then zip it and go somewhere that has The Bill of Rights included in their forum rules.
As for my post, this thread specifically asked for moderators' opinions and I gave mine without directly insulting anyone. I don't make a habit of going from thread to thread talking crap and stirring up trouble which is exactly what gets folks banned around here.
