i recently heard on tv that sony want the ps3 to be more of a super computer than a games console, so its a rumor that sony are offering built to order ps3's like dell computers so if this is true it means the prices are gonna go up even more :(

its partially true. in an interview one of the sony execs said something along the lines comparing the ps3 to a computer, and the idea that one day sony would like to make the ps3 built to order....from the best of my knowledge come november they will have the two different models 20gig/60gig. i dont think this is going to happen for some time...

i think what they men by cuztom order is if you want it to do certain aspects or have otheres, they will make it. like a 250gb ps3 with no card reader but has wifi.
