Ok i just got swap tool pro 2006 and swap magic 3.6 . I have installed everything correctly as its shown on a instructions sheet i got.so i bought 5 Sony DVD-R 1x-16x for $10. So i decided to burn fight night round 3, and did eveyrthing shown in the guide by dan . i used DVD Decrypter, i wrote at 2.4x speed and had vertify on.So when i finished i put swap magic on and it came up with the menu, then i took out the disc and put the backup of fight night round 3 and it read for like 5 sec when i pressed load program nothing happened. So i tried again by taking it out and putting swap magic 3.6 again, and i pressed load program and it came with a red flash and i put the backup game and still nothing happened.I even tried to take it out and put the swap magic back in but it says "please put a big TOC disc" or something like that,so i thought it meant the backup dvd.I really dont know what the problem is.can someone help?

Don't write at 2.4x. Since you said you have 16x discs, burn at 8x. Also, if you want to play backups online FNR3 for instance, you need to use a patcher on the .iso file you made to patch the DNAS file.
Try burning it again at 8x with DVD Decrypter and see what happens.
And in case you were wondering..
Boot SM3.6 DVD
when it stops spinning, replace with backup
hit X

Hold on a sec. First off, you don't need to rebuild Fight Night Round 3.. Try burning the original ISO file at 8x. I've never had Swap Magic 3.6 give me a "insert high toc" message. Is you ps2 PAL? Because I'm refering to the USA FNR3. Are you sure you have the swap tool pro in correctly? I never heard of it but it looks similar to the Magic Keys II that I used and the tool that hits the lid switch gave me hell for a couple of hours. Make sure everything is correctly inserted before you go bald.

yes mines PAL, and the games PAL. Model Number SCPH-75002 CB,yeah im sure, but the tool B kinda moves if you touch it but its inserted correctly.also i have tried a orignal game (the punisher) and it works.everythign works except for backups.i thought it was the same problem with the slim tool pro 2006,but checked the instructions sheet and looks to be the same.

if it asks you to insert a valid PS2 game then it sounds like you haven't installed the keys properly, because that's the PS2 rechecking the security code and backups don't have that, so you'll want to check your keys first?

The tool's still not inserted properly... it takes a while to get the thing in right (I've heard some people who spent a week before they got it right). To be honest the easiest way is to open your PS2 and block the thing manually, but I understand if you just got the V14 then you don't want to void the warranty... try contacting the guy who you bought this on TM about it and see what he suggests?

Not too sure how they got it to work, it was a lot of fiddling around with it and just moving it to the right place...
I dealt with that guy before, he seems like a nice enough guy, might take a day or two to reply to your email though.
Opening the V14 isn't too hard, just be careful and take your time and you should be fine, nothing in particular that you need to worry about, just make sure you don't pull anything too fast/hard so you rip the cable or something. By blocking I mean blocking the sensor, have a search on the net and you'll see what's the thing that's causing the problem and you'll know how to do deal with it :)

good luck :) if you are still having problems post back and I'll see if I can dig out a few more diagrams - you are heading in the right direction, it's a matter of being able to block that damn sensor that everyone's having problem with

i really dont know what part is the sensor and what part is the laser. this is what he told me to do:
Hi,
It sounds like the switches are not trigered correctly I'll just to go over the whole swap process for you steps by step.
1) Insert the Swap Magic disk (DVD Swap Magic disk if you are going to play a PS2 DVD game and CD disk for CD PS2 games)
2) At the Menu select loading screen, open the lid and swap the disk for the Backup/import
a) If the tools are in the right pace the you will notice the laser will remain out,
b) If the switches are not triggered the laser will return to the original off position.
c) To check the switches are triggered when the lid in open and console on the laser will move out.
3)Once the disks are swapped and the lid is closed press X on the controller and the game will run.
Let me know if you have any more trouble and I'll help from there.
Cheers,
Kurtis
i pretty much dont know what laser and sensor mean.sorry im just dont know much about ps2 parts.
also ive tried filliding around, still nothing happens.

1) Should be no problems here
2) Again, shouldn't be any problems, just open the lid by pressing the eject button
3,4) The switches are the three key things that you have to install. The laser is the part that moves back and forth.. open your lid and don't have any discs in there, you'll see the round thing in the middle where you put the disc on, directly behind it is the laser lens that moves back and forth. The off position is where the laser lens should be (from memory it's towards the back of the console), what he means is that if you've installed the switches properly, then the laser will be somewhere that's NOT at the back of the console, otherwise if it's returned to the back then the switch is not installed properly
