Dvd Shrink Problem With Adult Movie

Hello,
I have never had any problems using DVD Shrink until last night while tryingto back-up and Adult Movie. I tried it on 2 seperate times, the 1st time it stopped at around 35% then the last time it got all the way too 99% and then stopped. It takes along time to Shrink things as well which I know is normal but I have no idea why its acting this way.
Can anyone tell me what the problem might be??

If you are getting CRC errors in Shrink it is more than likely it is a bad disk, try cleaning it or get another original. You can try DVDFab Decrypter and rip it to your HDD first, the program is a little more forgiving of scratched disks. Then process the file with Shrink.

Hello,
I also used Dvd Fab to rip it then tried to use shrink and it wouldn't do it. Also what is a good way to clean Dvd's and what can I use to clean them? Is there any other program besides DVD Shrink that also Shrinks Dvd's? If so what are they?

To clean your disc, quite honestly use a soft cloth with a little soap and water. Pat the disc dry.

Nero recode will do the same thing as shrink if you have Nero.

some of those adult movies are so cheaply mastered that it's amazing that they play at all... and sometimes they don't... hopefully you will solve the issue with this one...

Im not having a problem with Ripping it, Im having the problem with DVD Shrink to Shrink it. Does that RipItForMe program Shrink it as well?

1Tizz , rip4me is a program thats uses DVD Decrypter,DVD Shrink, fixVTS, its like a wizard that guides u thru usings all those programs.
BUT if u are not haveing problems ripping then just run the ripped files thru VOBblanker BEFORE u use shrink
Look at my other post to get the links for Vobblanker and the guides for it.
and be sure to use the folder that vobblanker creates to run in shrink

Hello.
Ripit4me actually uses Shrink.
Some drives are better readers than others. Have you tried a different reader?

Yes I read all the replies and will read through the sites cause im not familiar with how to use VOB and the other program. What do you mean reader? Im assuming you mean my Dvd Drive? I only have 1 then I have an External Burner.
The problem is SHrink this time

I assume that you do not have Nero? That might short circuit a lot of the other options if you can just run it through Nero recode and see if it works.
Perhaps another option is to tell us the name of the adult film and see if someone can help you.

@smoter. i do, yes sir i do. just don't use bleach to clean it, it already has some. LOL.
PS: why would you want to clean it up? so it will become a boring hollywood movie?(bet i missspelled hollywood.)
Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

All kiddong aside, I clean DVD's with 91% isopropyl alchohol (Over the counter at any drug or grocery store) and/or Pledge furniture cleaner. Use a soft cotton cloth and DO NOT clean in circles. Wipe it on or spray it on then a few minutes later clean in straight lines - turn the disk and clean the other way - in straight lines.

HaHa, Somehow I knew that posting about an "Adult" Movie would get some laughs....
I have not tried to do that movie again, but I will try tomorrow or over the weekened.
I did use the VOB guide for another movie but at the end I got lost because it said to Open the Input Folder and I had no idea were it was or even were to open it, But even after all that I was still able to use DvdShrink and all was Ok. I used DvdFab, AnyDVD and VOB then Shrink for Basic Instinct 2 and it worked fine.
I will post once I get the "Adult" 1 done or if I have more issue's with it or any other movies.
Thanks for the Help-Always appreciated. Glad you enjoyed the Humor in it, i was hesitant about even posting I was trying to back up an "Adult" Movie LOL. Oh well, we are all Adults anyhow at least I hope so. TeHe

A good rotary cleaner should work ! " Frank Zappa a" ( The circular motion Rub it LOL! ( Rotary cleaner & 91% alcohol ) Either Manual or Motorized - Scotch made a really good one years ago,wore mine out ! Maxell sells a decent one & SkipDr. makes a motorized one ! Perhaps one of those will help clean up your movie -no pun intended!
