Besides doing the stuff suggested by arniebear, there is something else you can do, or in this case not do.
Quote: Book Type: DVD-R (2), Part Version: 5
Media type: DVD-R
DVD-Rs can't be booktyped to DVD-ROM.
Quote: Book Type request: DVD-ROM
Changing the book type was finished with error code: 0
Usually Nero will un-check that box on a -R, but make sure you un-check it in the shrink burn page, if it comes up when using - R media.

Hi, my apologies for the delay in replying back, thank you arniebear and Maxburn for your help,
Arniebear thank your for your comments, i tried to do what you advised but did not have much success,
tried to update firmware to BYS3 as suggested but it mentioned something about opening in " LtnRPC ", as i have no idea what this is i've no idea what this is i'm not going to start messing around with things,
However i did upgrade Nero,
Maxburn - think i make have found a quick fix,
i unticked the use Nero option in DVD Shrink, once DVD Shrink finishes then i manually start Nero. Although it seems to burn at 2x my last two attampts have worked succesfully
