DVD Shrink and other programs shut down

I mainly use Shrink and this is the first time it has happened to me. I recently got back my computer from the shop and tried Shrink. It would analyze the disc, but once I selected "Backup" the program froze and closed itself automatically. I tried "re-authoring" the disc or reversed the process by using DVD Decrypter first, but Shrink would once again freeze and shut down. I tried this with multiple discs and the only time it worked correctly was when I used a old copied dvd.

The problem is the same with other programs. With CLoneDvd2 and DVD2One the programs have errors on them which prevents me from copying. Decrypter and DVDFab work fine, but I cannot seem to make copies of anything.

I never heard that happening to slysoft's programs but this is normal for Shrink--when backing up newer discs. What DVD title are you trying to back up? Chances are that it is new. Chances are you will need another program to rip it with (hint: DVDFab Decryptor). If not, get AnyDVD and run it with Shrink.

Actually I tried AnyDVD and DVD Fab. Those program seem to work fine, but DVD2One, Shrink, Clone DVD all don't work for me. I tried a couple new discs, but I also tried copying Donnie Darko to no luck.

If you have an up-to-date copy of AnyDVD then use the ripper function and then open the files in shrink and proceed as usual.
