We've all been talking about ps3 price from it was announced but how much will each of us be spending when we actually go in the store to buy it?
PS3 - $500/$600 plus tax
Extra controls - $?????? each plus tax
At least one game - $??????? plus tax

Seems almost unknown at this point

I have $1000 budgeted for the main system ($600), 3-4 games, and a few accessories. For me, the best upgrade tweak right off the bat would be a good quality HDMI cable to connect the PS3 to my SXRD. I use the Silver Serpents now and they're my first choice:

I'll probably get a the more expensive type of ps3. Plus another controller so I can play 2 player games. 4 or 5 must have games near the starting of the launch and a xcm cases if and when they are made for it.

Out of curiosity how many controllers can you have hooked up to the ps3? Is it 2 plus a multitab? Or does sit laready have 4 slots for it?

What 4 or 5 "must have" games are there? I can't even come up with 1 "must have" launch game. I am still getting one just to get one but the launch list is abysmal, to say the least.

Unless your going to the store to buy it next year, then maybe I would get those games. I assume the thread poster meant what games are you getting on launch date. There is no chance in hell your getting all of those game in November.

yeah, that is what I thought

Here's another question for you guys:

If you buy a PS3 at launch will you sell it on E-Bay? If so for how much?

quite crowded thats why 4 player up will most likely be for games that dont split the screen for multiplayer. eg. soccer or basketball games.

Remember ps3 was originally disigned to have two hdmi out. So the 7 player feature was included with that aspect of disign in mind. You could do slit screen on two tvs. That went but they kept the 7 controller support cause it was alredy there.

Really xyqo? I didn't know the PS3 can do split screen on 2 TV's. I thought the 2 HDMI outs would send the same video signal to 2 different displays. I didn't know you can span over 2 displays. Where did you get this info?

I'm hoping to spend $700 and walk away with a game after taxes.

I will use the free download service to get demo's like a cheap skate until I can afford more games.I will also take my one game online and milk it dry.It will probably be resistance : fall of man if it turn out a launch title.
