"I think Sony's in a good spot with the PlayStation 3," he said. "I know we're getting some great results with it back at our house, so I would expect other developers will be as well." He also said that Sony is in a better place now than Microsoft was last year having shipped the final PS3 hardware to developers around E3. "Developers did not have finished Xbox 360 hardware last year at E3" he said.

Yes I seen this on a different site a few days back. It's good news.

It's also believeable that both wii and ps3 are in better position's to launch then xbox360 because if you understand the dev kit situation then you'll know. The ps3 and wii have also been in development much longer from both a software and hardware perspective.

Overall good news that it will be more stable and better developed for at launch.

I'll explain some what for those who might not know i'll keep it simple.

When you have a kit thats close to or identical to a launch system your better an\ble to work on fine tuning ever aspect of performance and reliability. The sooner you get it the beeter. What happened with 360 is that they were late so many games had issues surprisingly one of them was perfect dark 0.

Basically the more you know how the final hardware will perform and the more time you have with it, the better equiped you are to polish off you games. This really counts when it comes to launch titles

well i only posted this here because this could be some sweet news lol. i kind of brought the thread back as it was pretty quiet here, and really didn't want to start another new "ps3 price" thread or anything. its the first i've seen except for the bestbuy scan that shows pricing at $59.99, and it is a sony store or is it an outlet? we don't have one here, but Toronto i believe does...
