A scan with the wrong provider cannot find channels.
If you select leave current bouquets all channels survive which are not found from the scan.
If you select update bouquets all channels will be removed which are not found from the scan.
Fast scan disable a defined network scan in the cables.xml.

Anyone point me in the right direction to locate the image I require?

If the emulators evocamd or mgcamd or newcamd are missing the image is not fully UK modded.
The emulators or emus in short have to do the descrambling job.

as a user of the dm500c i was most interested in you advice regarding download images for irish cable, however the link on this forum doesnt seem to work. could you re-post the link or possibly email it to me.

HI ALL

READING THIS FORUM AND THE INFO IS GREAT EVEN THOUGH WHAT I NEED SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN EDITED !!!!

I HAVE A DREAMBOX 500C AND I CONNECT TO NTL HERE IN DUBLIN THE CAM IS MGMcan1.0011pa or something and the image is gemini but when i scan even thought it picks up the channels i only get a picture for rte 2 and setanta ireland, i dont even get rte 1 or the bbc channels, i feel like i am doing something very basic wrongly.

any suggestions would be gratefully recieved, perhaps a suggestion of where i can download a new image complete with the cam,

You have to install keys and rom files if you don't use a preconfigured image.

Got it working, by downloading and flashing the image from the linked website on this post.

Thanks for the help, now have to get 3 more dboxes for friends!!!

Did anyone manage to get a Dbox 2 working in Meath with Chorus cable? I'm living in Ashbourne and when i scan i get about 2 transponders. I've got the latest sportster image. Do i need to flash a new image?

When you say the latest sportster image, is it definitely a modded image or one that was on the box when you bought it. The box I got had a sportster image but as it was not modded it only picked up the FREE TO AIR channels.

Am by no means an expert on this but it could save you a lot of hassle if you can double check this.

Hi,
I recently got a dbox2 and am a real newbie at this.I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now and have found some great advice. I cannot receive any channels and am looking for some help. I have managed to flash an image {tardis} but I need some help to upload cable files and service files or anything else I might need. Does anybody have these files and a program to help with uploading them. I am in dublin and have ntl. Thanks

just wanna say a great big thank you, the image which you emailed me works perfectly, i simply flashed it to the dreambox and done an automatic scan and hey presto.

i have had my dreambox for 3 months and through various web pages and forums i got as far as flashing it with a gemini image which was no good as it onl had the basic cam, i then added more cams but still couldnt view any channels.

then i discovered you guys and tried a few times only for the links to be deleted. then you emailed me the image and the rest is history

I've been spending a lot of time searching, I'm looking for images etc. Almost every link is broken, I've registered for millions of sites, seems like there's link after link to forums, guides made by people that are networks/dbox experts, and after 5 days my dbox is about to get thrown across the road!

i am also in dublin with ntl and wizo emailed me an image that i simply flashed and all was complete no need for any other files etc etc,

however if you wanna go doen that route filezilla is a good programme to use for uploading stuff.

much easier to use wiz 569's complete image though
