dvd shrink taking longer than normal

I have been using DVD Shrink for a while now. It normall takes 40 min or less for it to back up and copy until recently. I noticed that starting around hte beginning of last week (8-7) The DVD Shrink was saying that it would take over 2 hours just for the back up. I clicked on enable video preview and it doesn't move very fast. I use Nero with the shrink. I deleted both from my computer and re-installed them. Can someone help me fix this? I would appreciate it.

HI,

Make sure your DVDWriter and HDD are in DMA and not in PIO mode.

If they are in pio look here http://www.real-knowledge.com/dma.htm

and here http://www.blackmaxpc.com/Guides/Enable_DMA.htm

Also do a disc clean up and a defrag, using a registry cleaner would be a good idea aswell.

To add to what pazzini stated did you check to use the quality enhancements. If you did that also will slow the process down . Check pazzini's ideas first as that is probably where the problem is
