Hmmm good question.I'm not sure an exact range class has been released but The PlayStation controller will make use of Bluetooth 2.0 EDS wireless technology (as opposed to 2.4GHz RF used by the Xbox 360). The controller will have a range of about 30 feet (10 meters).

I have a wireless ps2 controller and I could play it from another room and it would stilll play. So I'm sure the ps3 controller will be even better.

25 feet is to far away for me I have to be right infront of my telivision so I can see and consentrate better.

Yeah, the range is massive for wirless controllers, but its better to be be safe than sorry. ;)

Imagine this you fall asleep the controller get's out of range. THen the screen will say please insert controller. Plus the game will be paused when it says that so if you fall asleep you wont die, crash whatever.

It depends.If you have a 60 inch tv then you may be sitting a good ways off.25-30 feet is nice for all those rich bastards with a movie theatre in the living room.

For me I sit no further than 5 feet and usually only 3feet from the tv.

I have a 52' inch tv and I dont hoook my ps2 to it. It screws up the screen over time.
