I have been experimenting with the new version of Img burn for the first time along with DVD Decrypter. It works very well, but I had a question. The only way I can play back the ISO file with audio, is through Shrink. How come Nero Showtime nor Windows Media player will not play the sound? The picture is fine. Shrink plays it all. After burning the DVD, it works fine, both on Nero Showtime and in my stand alone players. Is this normal with ISO files? Never had this issue with VIDEO_TS files, so I thought I would ask.
Are you saying that you can watch an ISO file using DVD Shrink.. I didnt know you could do that... anyway a good program that I found for watching ISO files is the VLC media player, I don' believe I have ever had problems with it.. its good for watching most files and DVDs..
Yes, you can watch an ISO with Shrink. Just click on File. When the box drops down, select Open Image. This brings you to Files (that have ISOs) that you have stored on your hard drive. When you click on the appropriate ISO, it loads it just like it would a VIDEO_TS file. The rest is the same. Just click the box in the corner to preview...
I had never heard of that program. Thanks for the info. I thought Nero Showtime would do it since Nero will also burns ISOs, but it won't unless I burn a disk and play it.
You obviously like viewing ISOs. Do you think the quality of the movie is better. I may be imagining it, but the movie I burned that way last night seemed great.
Pretty much every movie I copy, I start with Shrink and make an ISO so that it is a smaller file in my HDD, you know 4.5gig compared to 7 and up. I travel a lot so I like to put a lot of movies in my HDD so I can watch them at the airport and on the flight.. I don't like taking the real copy with me and for some reason I have troubles playing the burnt copies on my laptop.. VLC helps out but not always... anyway enjoy VLC, I know I do.......
