exactly what point were you at when shrink stopped/closed? if you have the fully processed shrink file you can burn it with whatever burning software you use. do you normally have shrink set to autoburn with decrypter or imgburn or Nero?

What program are you using to rip the DVD to HD?
Below are 3 ways to do the movies as I have done 2 of those movies you mentioned using any of the below methods.
You need to make sure you are using the newest version of DVDFAB Decrypter and rip the DVD to HD. The use VobBlanker on the ripped files and then after using VobBlanker use Shrink or what ever program you use to process the files VobBlanker did.
You can also use Ripit4Me to rip the DVD to HD as it utilizes FixVTS to correct the structural problems and it will automatically bring up Shrink to process.
You can also use AnyDVD ( free 21 day trial version ) to rip the DVD to HD and then process w/ Shrink.
Take your pick of how you want to do the movies. If you need the guides post back but they are really easy programs to use

Carolina Mike, many thanks for your previous help. I have had 99% success in backing up my movies using shrink, AnyDVD & ImgBurn. I am using a Plextor 760 DL burner, I want to try burning DL's. In the shrink program "edit" > "preferences" > "Target DVD size" drop down window there are 3 options, DVD-5, DVD9, Custom. I highlighted the DVD-9 option, but when the program was ready to burn a window appeared & said I needed to do "something" which I did not understand, with the DVD structure? Can you help please? Thanks....Spuds1

SPUDS1,
I would not use Shrink to do a d/l disk. This is what I would do:
1. Rip the disk w/ AnyDVD to the HD( right click the fox head in the tasbar and click on Rip DVD-Video to Hard Disc) This will use FixVTS to correct the DVD structure problems and give you good files you can use
2. Then use Imgburn to burn the compilation to D/L disk. A guide is below w/ Pics

That should get you going

Many thanks Carolina Mike. I'm not the sharpest too in the box, but between you cornholio 7 & Lightning, it worked fine, no gliches. These "free ware" programs are fantastic, thank you all for dedicating your time for us.

I do my DL discs with AnyDVD and ImgBurn also, but I just let ImgBurn build the ISO as it rips the DVD and then write the ISO with ImgBurn. Have had no problems with this method. I just don't use the AnyDVD ripper.

garmoon,
I'm now using PgcEdit and then it automatically uses Imgburn to burn. There are not that many programs that have the ability to pick the proper layer break and those are 2 of the 3 programs that can do it w/ CloneCD being the 3rd. I just wish the prices would come down some more on the D/L DVD's.

Do you have a complete guide or instructions on how to do a dual layer from start to finish?

SPUDS1,
Imgburn just burns whatever image that is put in front of it. Use DVDFAB Decrypter and I think it gives you the option of just ripping the movie to the HD and then use Imgburn on that

I would utilize ripit4me! I had no problems with any type of movie. ripit4me runs with FixVts and starts DVD Shrink automatically. ripit4me gives you easy steps to follow as well.

I appreciate your help once again guys. You're right, DL's are expensive, hence I'm careful of burning a coaster. Whose brand DL's are you guys using? Cheers.......

Car.Mike, I downloaded the blutach PgcEdit guide. Looks good, easy to follow. Do I still have AnyDVD run in the background to eliminate encryptions?
