Help on Burning Ps2 Games

Do you have to have a copy of the original game or not because i copied all the files that were on the game and put them into a folder which is on my desktop and burned it and i put it into my ps2 it didnt work what is wrong. I am doing everything right i have a modchip i have a dvd burner and i have Dvd Discs . What am i missing
When i burn the files i use the Data burn PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

You need to give more info.
1. Did you ripp the game using the original, or dl it?
2. What files did you burn?

Yes i did ripp the game using the original and i burned the files that were on the disc.

You don't copy the game files from the disc to your HDD, you make an iso image file of the disc, then burn that.
Use DVDecrypter. Mode > ISO > Read to make the iso, then Mode > ISO > Write to burn it. Use good quality media & burn at 1/2 the disc's max speed.
In future, also learn to make use of the forum search function & read some of the sticky topics, as this sort of question gets asked all the time.

Can i use DVD Decrypter on a laptop because i dont have 2 trays on my laptop like i do have on my desktop.

If you're running Windows on it, then yes. And you don't need 2 disc drives to make/burn an image file.

try burning game at 4x speed, it's always worked for me.What kind of chip do u have in your ps2? What type of media are u using? Give alittle bit more info. on what u have & using.

hi i recently downloaded a game for ps2 (fifa07) and i need to know how to get it working on my ps2. there is no image file in the downloaded folder and i already tried to burn as a data dvd but that didnt work. CAN SOMEONE please help me i am desprate for this game.

Extract it with WinRAR if its not an iso yet then burn at 4x on quality media like ritek and verbatim if you are using swap magic and the game is over 4.3gb it might have to be rebuilt using gnie ps2 rebuilding tool or the old way with cd/dvd gen and iso buster

plzzzzzzzz help ???
i got gta liberty stories on ma computer that i downloaded.
i extracted all the files to my computer, this is wat i got
but it seems hard to get the files on the disc
:S very confusing :S
i tired dvd dycrypter but nothing happened or is it from the disc i'm using ?
i use
'Maxell
DVD-R 4.7GB
DATA - 120MIN VIDEO,
1-16x SPEED'

You've extracted too far and ended up with the game files from the iso/disc image.
In WinRAR's options, uncheck the iso file extension from File Associations. Then, with WinRAR open, highlight the 1st file in the sequence (probably .rar, .part001, or .001), click 'Extract to..', then OK. The iso will now extract. When finished, burn the iso with Nero, DVDecrypter or Alcohol to good quality media.

but how do i burn it using Nero ?

You dont need the mds & Nero wont recognise it anyway. But when you open up Nero, then click on 'Open' & browse to the iso (if you're using the full Nero Burning ROM program). If you use Nero Express, then choose to burn disc from image.
Just make sure you change that the browser window says 'All supported file formats' or 'iso' so that it can see the iso file.

i burnt it with Nero, then it said destination, there was image and DVD i put image and it told me 2 save the image as, i named it "Image", then i clicked Burn
then when it finished, i tired it on my ps2 & it said "DISC CANNOT BE READ" hav i done something wrong ???
i have the full Nero express :S
help plzz

Alright you are making this harder get Nero out of the picture just use dvd decryptor and img burn pretend Nero was never introduced here are the steps
If you have an image (.iso) go into dvd decryptor and then go into the tab at the top saying mode go down highlight iso then another tab comes up go onto write select the image then maksure its at 4x burning speed and its a DVD-R it should work

Try imgBurn go into mode then write open your iso ,burn at 4x
