when they say large TOC, they mean a large dvd game original. TOC = table of contents. Large size original dvds like Devil may cry. Hope this helps. There is a list of the toc sizes of all games at ps2nfo.com in the forums.

ps2 3.3 boot disc Puts extra strain on your lazer as suggested on this site before, And then it may struggle, On certain games, Ive had to get a new lazer through using this, And now it plays 99% of games, But the xbox buys and sells the ps2 all day long, Better graphics, Its took the ps2 all this time to catch up with a hard drive solution, A lot of people i know have got rid of there ps2,And changed over

woo hoo better graphics, if i wanted better graphics, id go to pc gaming. but guess what, i dont give 2 shits about graphics, i play on every platform instead of bitchin about graphics and how xbox is supposedly "better" than all the other consoles. it seems that gaming has gone to shit with everyone convulsing over graphics

does SM 3.3 work w/ tekken 5? a post said something about it having multiple boot reads.
If that onimusha has multiple reads & works maybe it'll work for tekken 5...
can someone test that for us?

ps2 has tons and tons of different games all xbox has is halo if it wasn't for halo there wouldn't be an xbox, and i don't see a difference in graphics i'd rather play the game for the storyline ect then for looks thats like picking a car for it's looks insted of whats inside it.

and as far as my attitude goes, i wasn't in a pissed off mood when i wrote that, so there you go.
and if you wanna see bad attitudes, you oughta hear those xbox nerds go on and on for like an hour, at least it felt that long when i was waiting for the bus while they were rambling on.

does SM 3.3 work w/ tekken 5? a post said something about it having multiple boot reads.

can someone test that for us?
Tekken 5 does work on sm 3.3 but you will have to rebuild the iso for it to work unless you just want to keep refreshing the TOC.

Fortunatly i am lucky enough to have all three machines, And mainly for my children,I personally dont sit in my room on my own playing halo, If you check out properly Halo 2 was voted game of the year 2004, As far as i am aware so it cant be that bad, And if people want to talk about it on the bus then good luck to them, Apart from people sitting in there rooms playing it where else would you suggest they play it, Have you got a xbox or have you played halo,

"I thought only nerds got on the bus, And youve just confirmed that" how could i have confirmed that when i rarely get on the bus to begin with, and i agree with zerosouls, i heard the same thing lol. look, i know that you and i dont know each other, bern2707, but you sound like someone who doesnt think and just jumps to conclusions on the spot.
and my main point from earlier, is that the majority of gamers in this present state of time seem to only go for graphics in games and seem to not pay attention to gameplay and other factors. the thing i like most in a game is a storyline. Stake, for the XBOX, which i have played, has bad gameplay, and is multiplayer. and as far as graphics go, that game looked like it was made for the N64. it WAS fun, but uh.... play it and find out :)
i dont have an xbox (i played stake with my friend), but i do plan on buying one. i have played halo and halo 2, good games, just not what it was cracked up to be in my opinion. but those xbox-only military-related games, now thats a different story, i played some of those and they are fun as hell. unfortunatley i dont remember the names. and later on in life i will eventually get a gamecube.

This are the games I got working w/ swapmagic 3.3 some are 1:1 copies, some are rebuilt and some are patched... Most of them are NTSC a few are PAL.
Only game I tried to backup but failed is Rayman 3 PAL.

bern2707, please take your comments somewhere else -- say, the Xbox forum. This isn't really the thread for console fanboyism.
Anyway, as far as I can tell, the Swap Magic 3.3 DVD isn't the problem, it's the CD. Sure, a handful of games (out of thousands) may need rebuilding (Mercenaries, NBA Street vol3) or patching (Shadow of Rome), but almost every single DVD game works perfectly -- with possibly the only exception being Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. (I didn't count everyone's favorite GT4, since no one has been able to back it up properly.) Almost no DVD games need loaders, either: the only two I've found from extensive testing are Champions of Norrath: Return to Arms and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.
CD games, though, need some serious work. So far, Frequency, Metal Slug 3 (JAP), Castle of Shikigami 2, Mr. Mosquito, Tribes: Aerial Assault, and Star Wars: Racer Revenge haven't worked for me at all. They may or may not work with loaders; but quite frankly, loaders are a pain in the butt, and no game should require more than a single swap, in my opinion. Judging from the number of failures, I'm guessing there are even more CD games I don't know about which will fail to load. I welcome anyone to work on getting these games to run.
And Tekken 5? It works great for me on a my slim PStwo and Swap Magic 3.3 (very quick loads) on all modes, djliamc, so I'm not sure what you are referring to. It doesn't need any rebuilding or TOC refreshes at all. In fact, I haven't found a single game which requires TOC refreshing with the SM 3.3 -- though I hear FIFA Street needs it.

I am fairly new to the whole field but am in desperate need of your help guys. I am a fighting gamer....love them to DEATH. And my import copy of The Rumble Fish just came in, but I can't get it to load on my PS2 with Swap Magic 3.3. Am I missing something?
(edit) I tried using the cd loader V7 all disc with it as well, but to no avail. 3.3 still supports my import FMA: Dream Carnival.

i think if you have an original or backup of an import you need to switch it. like if you have an NTSC console, then the import would be PAL and vica-versa.

I have to admit hearing this kinda makes Swap Magic look pretty bad to be honest in my mind,Swap Magic hasn't really changed to me.Think about it,all they did was add the dvdloader to it.The rest of the peeps that have Swap Magic v2.0 can easily get the files and have the exact same thing.As for PS2 and Xbox,you can't really compare Xbox to PS2 because think of all the games PS2 has compared to Xbox.If you are into graphics PS2 has good graphics also in my oppinion.Xbox might have a tad bit better graphics,but it doesn't really make much of a factor for games for me.I am not saying either system is bad,but Xbox is kinda overated in a way.They have maybe like 2 or 3 games that are not for the PS2,and the PS2 has probably like 100 or 200 games that are not for the Xbox.Anybody mess with the new Swap Magic v3.6,because I would like to know if the TOC size has been upgraded or not.It kinda sucks how the Swap Magic has the small TOC.I think this is the main reason everyone has to rebuild the images,to downsize to the Swap Magic discs.If they upgraded the TOC size,the issue of rebuilding games could be solved for Swap Magic.I guess in due time they might upgrade to a Dvd9 Swap Magic,if the Swap Magic v3.6 doesn't have the upgraded TOC it probably won't be worth investing in.That is just how I look at it,alot of other people will see things different than me.I wonder why they don't just make the Swap Magic TOC larger though.Everyone that has Swap Magic should think about this for real,look Sony has just released 3 new games that are Dvd9 already.It won't be long until they start making more.It would actually be cool to talk to the creators of Swap Magic,because I would definately tell them to make it Dvd9.It would probably cost more,but think about booting Dvd9 games along with other games that don't need to be rebuilt just because it would have a higher TOC.
