Ditch the CMC Mag (TDK's) they're awful. Is your firmware up to date? Is your burner in DMA mode? Consult the PS2 FAQ in my sig for info.

Well... downloaded the program that detects firmware version it said
Device: DVDRW IDE 16X Firmware Version : A089

and i looked at links from your sig to know about the DMA and it's activated. Dont really understand much about firmware, do i need one specially made for my burner ( on the front it sayz Emprex DVD Dual Double Layer 16X ). If you need more info just ask ( if i know what your talking about ). Thx for taking time to help me, really appreciate it.

Edit : Dont know if that was the problem but with dvd decrypter i was using SPTI in the I/O setting, downloaded/activated WNASPI32.DLL like it said in one of the links. Didnt retry to burn yet, waiting to know if the firmware version i got is ok.

SPTI is the default burn setting for Windows XP. It should work fine. I'd try it again after you update your firmware. If that fails, download NeroInfoTool and make sure your Winsapi drivers are installed and working. Get it here: http://www.cdspeed2000.com/files/NeroInfoTool_403.zip

In the drivers tab in Nero Info Tool? Don't find anything that say winsapi, if it's in the aspi tab there's nothing in Nero and in system there's only the wnaspi32.dll i downloaded earlier. And about updating the firmware im not sure what to download, should i write emprex on the website, the firmware code i got or dvdrw ide 16x.

Copy wnaspi32.dll that into your System32 folder. Make sure view hidden files and folders is enabled in Windows. From Windows Explorer go to Tools-->Folder Options-->View Then check show hidden files and folders and uncheck hide protected operating system folders. Then go to My Computer-->C (or whatever letter your HD is)-->Windows-->System32, and copy the wnaspi32.dll there.

Browsing the Emprex site, it looks like the LiveUpdate utility should download the latest firmware for you. Play around with it and see if there's an option to update firmware, download firmware etc. Most likely the FW being out of date is the issue. It probably doesn't have the proper write strategies for Taiyo Yuden discs, so it doesn't recognize them.

Well rereading your posts, I think you've eliminated everything except using the Slim Kit properly. You're probably not using the Slim Kit properly. Here's a link to the instructions: http://www.modchip.com/installpics/v12slimkit/slimkitproguide.pdf

Try burning at 8x. If that doesn't work, try DVD Loader or Zone Loader.

After retesting stuff i think the problem is my swap magic cd/dvd because i tried loading an original game with it and it didn't work either (in my first post when i said i tried original game it was without putting the swap magic first). Dvd just keep spinning with a black screen on tv. Also i looked carefully at the version and it says : Swap Magic 3 Plus (Coder Version 3.8). Don't know if other people had trouble with it.

Well that doesn't really mean anything. Your PS2 will load an original game whether or not you use Swap Magic. Do originals load normally without Swap Magic? If not, try cleaning your laser. Refer to my FAQ.

I just retried it and it seems it didnt load with swap magic because i had activated a code or something. Retried it without the code and it worked fine lol. And usually all my original work

Edit: Forgot to try burning at 8x, ill do that now

Edit2: 8x not working either

I have been trying to get a back-up codebreaker disk to work using swap magic 3.6. I've burned it onto a cd and have loadded it on my ps2 using the swap magic CD. But then it just goes to a white screen as if it has lost its signal.

Also when i try to use my original AR Max on one of my back-up games it doesn't load the codes.
Can anyone help.
Thanks

Swap Magic CD is fickle, it has a ton of issues loading CD games. There are plenty of threads covering how to use ARMAX and Swap Magic.

76. Q. I have an ARMAX and Swap Magic, is there any way to use cheats with my backups?

Sorry had issues with my isp. Here's some news. Disc got little scratchs but nothing that should cause problems, cleaned the ps2 len with q-tip/alcohol, retried playing with cheats on original games an it worked. I looked on some other places and found out that some peoples are having trouble loading back-up games with Verbatim(DataLifePlus) Dvd-R 8x MCC02RG20 with swap magic ( also say they work fine with a modchip ). Also i read carefully on the swap magic cd/dvd and it actually sayz : Swap Magic Plus ( as in + ) Coder Version and lower its writed USA Version 3.8 don't know if it makes a difference or not. After all that i think that's the only things that could be the cause of problems ( unless the cd/dvd burner brand matters too ). At this point if installing a modchip will resolve those problems i could go for that, not that i know any place near that install thoses. Thx again for helping me.

Your problem lies in the media you use. Buy some good media. Look at the stickies for the thread..and burn your disc's at half the rated speed. (8x for 16x disc)

Post the media ID of the 16x media. Most Datawrites I've come across are CMC Mag. That's most likely the prob. Don't bother with 16x media for the PS2, it causes too many probs. You can find Yuden000T02's under the Sony label in 50 spindles at chain stores. Look for an octogonal spacer (piece of styrofoam) on top of the package on the Sony 8x DVD+R's. It will also say made in Japan on the label. I've never had a coaster with Yuden000T02/TYG02, Taiyo Yuden's quality is unmatched.

Download DVD Identifier and post the results.

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
