U cannot play ISO,s any shape or form on a 2.60, and u cannot turn them into homebrew :)

thats the psp modchip that sudds was talking about. i think its pretty good cause it fixes bricked psps and also allows u to play backups (i think) but u need to put it in urself. btw im pretty sure its worth it

yea fanjita can do a lot of stuff like that, but you can just buy a downgrade from ebay for about £3.00 that takes 2.6(like me) down to the much needed 1.5!!!!

hi. i have read this entire thread so nobody tell me to back and read it again. i hate getting yelled at about reading first. so i read first. now. i herd that there is a way to downgrade a 2.01. you first have to upgrade to a 2.71 then there is a downgrader to 1.50. Is this correct?
also question number 2: using a eloader with the gta you can play homebrew on a 2.01 however you all have said that it is not possible to play backup psp games. what about now. a couple months has passed. new software loaders... blah blah blah. is there a way now to play backed up psp games without downgrading? and how? ...(besides the ovious modchip).

1.)No do not upgrade to 2.71. You can not downgrade from that yet. however you can downgrade from 2.5/2.6.
2.)You can not play backups on 2.01 with the eloader and GTA. The modchip can allow you it but its less of a risk and less costly to downgrade. All you need is GTA and the eloader and you will have 1.5. If you have 1.5 you have full homebrew capabilities and you can load backups too. Check the stickied thread on the mainpage here in the psp forum entitled Motherboard Compatability Guide to make sure you dont have a TA-082 PCB. If you do not then you can downgrade using the unpatched version of GTA:LCS and the eloader.

i have a good motherboard. i checked it out yesterday. and i am getting a good version on gta. will have it by next week. so you say i have to downgrade in order to be able to play backups? so i need to upgrade to 2.5 before i can downgrade to 1.5....right?

you have got that 100 percent correct my friend. upgrade from 2.01 to 2.5 and you can then downgrade to 1.5.

Great! thanks. finnally someone helpful. ok. then... lets see if i got this all straight. after i get to 1.50 i can install devhook .46 (or the latest) and that's it. great. where do i find the 2.5 upgrade and the downgrade at? is there a guide somewhere so i do it right?
