14?! Do you still get anywhere near that cuz thats still pretty if your getting that AND punching it at the light.

you'll have to race me sometime.
as i said in the car modding thread, i'm looking forward to putting a supercharger and sti tranny in my car.
*edit*
my v-8 4-speed auto ram gets about 15 mpg, so i don't see 14 as too great, weirdname. that's about to be expected for a turbo'ed 4-banger redlining.

Yeah I forget how many pounds of pressure the turbocharger is pushing out. But what I have been looking for is a upgraded Turbo Controller. It called a "Hot Box" basically slot it in your looking at a instant 50 horses added, plus with some fine tuning of the engine and turbo along with higher octane fuel you can really push the car. It was a factory option from Saab back in the day, but rarely any cars have them factoy installed because it was so expensive. I was watching a used unit on ebay and it sold for $330.00+

I know that the '67 elcoes are very rare nowadays. It'll definitely be a full restoration. I'm building it to be a showcar alongside my Dad's '71 Nova.
Either gonna paint it Metallic blue or Aztec Bronze with a vinyl top. I'm gonna make her beautiful:)

carve her up, jack? bah! everything is bolt-on. all the original, from suspension to tranny and engine internals are going into storage.
estuanis: do the blue, with a light metallic flake. it will glimmer in the sun and be like kinky sex for the eyes. ^.^

I'm definitely a classic car enthusiast. My dad owns a '71 Nova. He's owned a '73 Matador, a '67 Pontiac Firebird, and a '63 Chevy Bel Air station wagon.
I Own an '89 Chevy Astro Van(my main vehicle), a '79 Chevy G20 Van with all wood interior by Countess(shared with my dad.) And I have my '67 Chevy El Camino.
All my cars and my dad's nova are fully restored and customized.
I just need to work on my elco now. I was thinking Aztec Bronze because my dad painted the Nova Cortez Silver... see the connection?
But the metallic blue is what I'm leaning towards. It'd be like a visual orgy:)
Don't worry. We'd never chop up such beautiful cars.
Edit:
The El Camino's been through hell. It was used to run Mexican marijuana first. Then it got dumped in a field in Idaho and sat there for six years. It was found by someone and was taken up into the Rockies and then got driven all the way here to good old Wisconsin where we found it through my dad's friend. We got it for $6000.
It is painted an ugly light green right now but it has very little rust. Only one spot on the quarter panels. The seat's ripped up and it leaks inside near the rear window. But the dash is in great shape and we replaced the exhaust
