Could someone please outline the features that 3.72M33 has that can't be found in 3.52M33-4
I am thinking of upgrading to it so I would like to know which new features I will get
I would also like to know which features there are that are lost in the transition form 3.52M33-4 to 3.71M33

Added:
Theme changing through memory card, so you don't have to flash it every time. (Doesn't include themes with modified fonts and pafs)
And a couple of minor things i can't remember...
Lost:
Some PRXs don't work with it (Plugins)

So in 3.71 you can't put together different parts from different themes to make your own like in 3.52M33. also, you can't change the font???
PS:: Will a regular pandora's battery downgrade a 3.72(Sony firmware fat PSP

No, i meant when themes are switched though the memory card they can'tuse texts and pafs, when you flash them straight to flash0 you can still use everything.

ok I been reading through and got a lot of questions answered (saves me posting stupid things). First up I see so many people giving advice and helping and not so much thanks goin back, so heres a big THANKYOU to all the helpers out there.
My problems are:
a) loading .iso files (although now .cso thanks to a cool prog in this thread).
b) putting things on the psp so they work.
These 2 problems are connected as I tried putting on fastloader V0.7 but when i go to load it up i get DATA CORRUPT icons, so I got UMD emulator V0.8 and i get DATA CORRUPT icons. I tried just putting a few other games/apps on and guess what I get...... DATA CORRUPT icons. So far the only thing I can get to work is doom.
Any ideas?
I'm still a complete noob to this but I'm learning.

Can't they only load games that need 1.50 firmware to play? You'll need to upgrade to custom firmware (3.52 M33-4) if you want to play any of the games that have come out the last year (Even DevHook can't run games that came out in Feb-March and onwards)

As Shokz has suggested update to a custom firmware.
What firmware do you have now?
If you have custom firmware then there is no need to even use fastloader/UMD Emulator. Just place the ISO/CSO files in ms0:/ISO folder.

Yea, don't bother with loaders at all, run them straight from the stick like larrylje said ms0:/ISO/

Have you got a UMD in the drive? If not, put one in, and make UMD mode "UMD required".

It means the game could not be started.
3.40 OE-A has issues with some of the newer games. Plus if your using NO UMD option on 3.40 OE-A the compatibility isn't what it used to be with the newer games. So make sure you have a UMD in the bay.
I would suggest going to 3.52 M33-4 custom firmware. HERE is a guide that will help you do these steps.
After you have updated to 3.52 M33-4 Follow these steps HERE to get your ISO/CSO files working properly.

My friends I face a dilemma [how bout that for an opening line ;)]
I have a magic memory stick, and I use it to convert my battery into pandora's battery.
I have used this to unbrick and downgrade many phat psps.
One of my friends recently purchased a slim PSP and wantd me to install custom firmware on his. But I'm a little lost.
Can I use the pandora's battery and memory stick to downgrade, beacuse I thought that slims don't have f/w 1.50.
How else can I install custom firmware on his PSP????
PS :- Mine is a PhaT PSP on 3.80M33-5

if u made the mms from this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610312 u can put custom firmware onto the psp slim and ur correct psp slim can't be downgraded to 1.50

I didn't make the magic memory stick from there, i used this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552549 to make the memory stick.
I convert the battery to pandora's when i have to and convert it back to normal once I'm done.
Can I install c\fw on my friend's psp using this memory stick, if so how???
I'm not sure how beacuse on the phat PSP I use but it takes me down to 1.50 [ not possible on slim]
If not, How else could I do it??

Then you should follow that guide to make your MMS, reformat the one you have and use that guide instead. Then you can put CFW on the Slim.

When I make the memory stick, using the thread mentioned above, and create the pandora's battery I can use it 2 convert the slim on official firmware directly to any custom firmware version????
PS ; Can I use the fat battery as pandora's , and can I change it back when I'm done????
