Are you using the media fire link? If so make sure you download both parts and have them in the same directory. Now extract part 1 and part2 will auto extract with part 1 making a Univer_File folder.

larrylje or anyone to help out,

When I get to the part where you...

"Select Option 4 "Universal unbricker for FAT or SLIM (This installs custom firmware 3.71 M33-2)"

Type 4 and Press ENTER"

...

It starts to install the files on the memory stick(DUO 2GB) and somewhere along the line, this dialog box pops up ---

Any ideas?

Yes, I have followed everything on the guide, thoroughly. And yes my psp drive letter is [ "H" ].

Thanks in advance, JahDrop

***EDIT***

I was able to figure it out and it worked.

PSP(+[phat]%): 2.60 OFW-> PB-> 1.50-> 3.03 OE-C-> 3.40 OE-A

Do you have Norton ? Try switching it off, not sure if this helps but worth a try :)

ok thx but I'm sorry it's still not 100% clear to me, I am installing the updates/add on's to the MS still using my CFW PSP right, this will not affect my cfw psp at all right? and can I choose both 3.71 M33-4 & 3.80 M33-5 with 1.50 add-on? or I can only write one cfw at a time?

I love psobb but i need a credit card # to get back on :(

Followed the guide, flashed my PSP to 3.71 M33-2.

Tried to prepare 3.80 with MUX, but it stalled. (let it run for half an hour...)

Copied the files myself. Ran the 3.80 update, and were met with the error code DRNFFFFFFCD - "the system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct."

Because it isn't needed.

KXploit is used when you manualy update from 1.50 firmware up to a custom firmware.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was successful in creating a Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick using a fat psp cfw 3.71m33-4. I followed the guide and I did not have any problems, I am using XP for the installer.

My issue is I am trying to install cfw on a friends slim psp on fw3.6. When I run MUX 2.0 I get the following error code: 80020148. I have tried creating a magic gate memory stick on a 512mb and 1gig stick. When I put the pandora battery and magic memory stick in the fat PSP, I can run MUX 2.0 with no problems. I tried installing the memory stick first, then the pandora battery, still nothing. I tried puting the panora battery first, then the memory stick, still nothing. I tried to put the slim psp in recovery mode, but it just boots to the xmb.

You need to use the Magic memory Stick + Pandora Battery to install 3.71 M33-2 first to the PSP SLIM. Then run the MUX 2.0 to install the rest of the updates.

i have an issue, because it works perfectly fine on my 3.71 m33-4 when creating the magic memstick and pandora's battery. my friend has a full brick fat psp and when i inserted my memstick on that bricked psp, and the battery, the 3.71 m33 installer shows up, but i got stuck on formatting flash0... it does not do anything... it's like stuck. any ideas?

I have a PSP 3.80M33-5 and I want to fix another bricked PSP. Following the instructions:
Quote:
PANDORA GUIDE:
Go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run OS Pandora Battery Tool. Press X at warning screen to get to Main Menu.
Select "backup battery eeprom to ms0:/eeprom.bin"
After the eeprom is backed up go to "convert to service mode"
Go to Quiet Now after the Battery has been converted and it will exit to XMB.
Turn off the PSP and take out the Battery then re-insert the Battery back in the PSP and the Universal Unbricker Menu should come up. press X to install 3.71 M33 to the PSP.
So, do I turn off my (3.80M33-5) PSP and put the battery and mem-stick in the bricked PSP and continue guide?
I just dont' want to start the unbricking on my (3.80M33-5) by accident.
Thanks in advance. I hope this makes sense. Much appreciated for the guide too. Nice work!
