Look, i know GTA is a great game and all that but for petes sakes, it is coming out next Tuesday. So why risk your $50 plus the price of a new console when you can just wait a freakin week and buy it?

nah, not 100...ive played some before release, and didnt get banned, (halo3) only got banned after COD4 bannings came out.

I honestly am having trouble waiting till the 29th... I need an NTSC backup version to tide me over till I can buy it.
PAL versions are all over the place lol.

So is anyone gonna clear it up? Would it be safe to play gta iv before tuesday on a console by taking off the HD and internet connection?

jesus. you've been wondering whether or not to get it. JUST FRIcken get it. It would have been done downloading the time you spent debating yourself. THESE people are telling you if you use that xbox to go online, than the majority is that youll get bannned. ITS your option, and its your risk.

i was just going to keep the internet unplugged until tuesday. i just dunno tho. id keep it unplugged for a week if i had. i dunno bout the hd tho. kinda need that. what do u guys think?

There is no 100% chance of ANYTHING. You don't know how, why or even if Microsoft is going to ban people for playing this game early so until you have some real proof (not just rumors, hearsay and hoaxes) you should shut up and quit trying to scare everyone.

i think this will be ok to play before the date. un plug your eathernet. read what they have to say on xbox-scene they have some good points. this is to just scare people away from ruining their present. i say play away.

Well the gamesaves on the hdd will definately tell MS when you've played the game. The time and date are saved.

But it is a 100% CHANCE that you may get banned. He didn't say it's 100% that you WILL get banned. He said chance.
There's either no chance of getting banned, or there is a chance of getting banned. All he is saying is there is definately a chance of getting banned. And I agree with him. It's already been reported that MS and Rockstar are on the lookout for people playing early.
