so they cant see that you have earned acheivments. thats why we said turn the console clock ahead so that would cancel that part out. read the whole thread. thats all that has been talked about.

Bruisers that makes absolutely no sense what you said. If you earned the achievement early and the game isn't released that's proof you were playing a backup and you could possibly be banned.
The best way to be safe is to wait just a bit longer till the game come out, i've had mine preordered for a few months now.

Working, did update from Rainbow Six and then GTA loaded and booted right up...great game, no issues with textures or load times for me. Xbox from 2005/samsung. Burnt to Vebs at 2.4 in clone. NTSC-101

i burnt at 4x with no probs 10% complete in game now. still havnt done the update for the game tho. still have eathernet unplugged.
P.S. i would give the game 9/10 it looks like its gonna take awhile to beat, its a pretty long game. plenty of options for things to do. graphics have improved, but nothing like the new games you are used to. looks like they focused more on gameplay.

Carn, Blockbuster employees are probably able to rent it out right now, due to it being Blockbuster policy. Microsoft can't assume that they are playing backups, otherwise it would be an unfair banning.

You guys are always such babies when it comes to being banned from Xbox Live Take a Hint if you dont want to be banned then dont mod your xbox and play backups. Its a risk you take BTW I have been playing GTA4 Online all day with no problems and Im not worried about being banned so stop being panseys and STFU and play the damn game already

I was refering to the ppl asking if they should play it or not and they are scared they will get banned. If you get banned just go buy a new xbox360 no big deal problem solved.

unless you are broke, and you are playing legit backups, for which you shouldnt get banned for in the first place. otherwise, sure buy a new 360.

i saw it on game spot tv. i've never really heard them talk about any kind of a leak before. i wonder how many dumbarses are actually playing this game online?

Haha......I would say around 700 people?
At myGamercard.net I viewed the leaderboards for GTA IV and at the bottom it says.... "Rank based on 712 worldwide users."

PS3 won't play backups.
But really... anyone could run an ad like that. Everytime some one buys a copy, just run down to the store, pick up a copy, and mail it out.
Wait... are you saying he has 120 copys to sell (which is what I assumed you were saying), or he's selling copies for $120?

Selling them for 120 dollars, but he actually has them in his possesion and said he could meet in Queens and will only be 100$. But what about all those people that actually do have a legit copy, how does Msoft know if it's a backup or original?

my friend bought a ps3 and 360 original copy from him. 200 for both dunno how he got em but he has several.

Thant's kinda wild to pay extra just to play it before tuesday. That to me seems really f'n crazy and a waste of money. Maybe your friend could buy me an Xbox 360 elite or send me a RRoD Xbox 360 for free.

lol an extra 80 really isnt much when you work. now for broke people yeah its much. i wont even bother getting a backup of this one, this one deserves a buy ;)
