Hey guys, I bought the cable, and no luck.
After more digging around i found a useful thread, that tells you what chipset you need in the usb cable. Turns out you need a special cable with a bridge. Does anybody know where I could find one of these cables?
I'm sure a sharkport cable would work, as their client software is exactly the same but just without the branding.

So you tried the drivers that fellow was talking about in the last post
I have what was called a superlink cable that might work.
It was meant for pc to pc.

Also did you check darockman's last post out here

pc software
http://www.xploder.net/content/downloads/xlink-v2.zip
install that then connect the usb to the pc and ps2 fire up Xploder v5 and on the pc it should detect the ps2 (if not plug it out then in again) then drag the hacked save file on to the software window and it should come up as NEW_FILE copy that to the memory card after thats done insert the psx/ps1 trigger cd and you should see a white flash followed by ulunch screen, if you got the fmcb 1.8 on your usb stick on the root insert it then select mass on the ps2 then Free mcboot.elf, at that point just follow whats on screen or just press (X) button ps it will format your MS so make sure you backup your important save's first with the pc software
peace ;)

Thanks guys for all your effort and help, but I think that im just gonna order AR Max EVO to transfer the exploit. I really need to play something now because my 360 isn't well (E74). It's time I forgot about Xploder.

Thanks again guys.
