Hey guys,
All of a sudden i am getting a problem when DVD Shrink is encoding the dvd image. It goes for about 50% then the computer completely shuts down. I am using DVD Shrink 3.2, and have been using it for several months. I also have AnyDVD, and am using Nero. My other computer still works with DVD Shrink 3.1. i do not believe that the computer is overheating.
There may be few things that triggered DVD Shrink to shut down: bad pressed, corrupted/invalid cells/vts or overheating (i.e. not enough of fans/airs flowing). Out of curiosity, what movie and what program you used to rip to the hard drive?
NOTE: when using DVDFAB Decrypter to rip your movies to hard drive, don't (never) use/run AnyDVD in the background. These 2 doesn't get along, so you'll need to "disable or shut down" AnyDVD completely when DVDFAB is ripping or vice versa.

Why not?
That would be my guess why the PC is shutting down. u can check with a free program SpeedFan, it checks the temps of ur PC, and fan speeds, click HERE Also Temp 2 is the temp for ur CPU so look at that one when running shrink
If it is overheating then one easy thing u can do is open the case and clean out all the dust. hope this helps
The same exact thing happens to me. I'm running a new asus board 1gig memory AMD 64 3500+ with new power supply and fans throughout the case. Windows XP Media center edition.
I upgraded to Vista and the problem went away. but lost ability to use my Haupauge PVR so I went back to my XP media center edition reloaded everything on a fresh hard drive and bang problem back. So I'm pretty sure its not heat or hardware.. It must be software confict but it does not show up in the event logs either.
